Who cares what he does in his personal time, as long as he does he job. I'm sure they're countless doctors, lawyers etc.. on drugs/alcho, but because they don't have media scrutiny they get away with it.

Some dont but no club wouldnt have at least 25% That enjoy a social event. Moderation is key and it should be an off season thing for the most part.

Will he become our Shaun Burgoine, or another Sylvia? Worth the punt. All it will cost is a few bucks and some embarrassment if we have to jettison him. Interesting times to be purple.
Most players don't get dumped by their clubs for reasons completely unrelated to playing ability.
We're not talking about a bloke that has a few beers now and then here.
Would they have pulled out because they don't want to be seen to be "missing out"?

But remember, you've got desperate clubs like Carlton and Essendon, probably willing to pay well overs, Even if only prepared to offer their second round pick, much better than Freos

Confession first up, I have no idea where Bennell will end up. The picture of him at dinner with Martin I thought proved nothing. Christ players (David King for example) would have a great time over here on a free holiday paid for by Freo only to say at the end thanks but no thanks. Maybe Bennell had that attitude & his mind is set on us so he never had any intention of attending a medical.
Yeah i reckon it was there pre-emptive get in first to avoid egg face plan.
Too bad if harley did influence dusty negatively and he now goes off the rails lol
