Or a couple of high draft picks?
If true the Saints have to do what's best for the club long term.
2 or 3 top 10 picks would do them wonders as a platform to rebuild with hitting the lows of the early 00's.

Be prepared for big name trades, Tigers fans think they will get Lucas but Lucas wants to stay at Carlton and loves the Blues. Bower on a swap to the Eagles for a player, Blues and Saints have agreed terms and a very good player going to GWS and the Tigers to get 2 players from the Blues.

The only player i can think of is Mark Blake from Geelong, he would come very very cheap and would atleast address your ruck issues short term while Richmond develop a young ruckman who can do more than Blake like handball, mark and Kick. Just a thought?
I know you live on the other side of the world, but it's well known that Geelong didn't want to lose Mumford, but couldn't come near matching Sydney's offer.
Simply because Geelong couldn't match the massive $$ that was offered to Mumford from Sydney
What do Carlton get for these 2 players? Picks or a player? The way u have worded it Carlton and saints get nothing, yet Richmond get 2 players for nothing..

The rest of our trade bait wouldn't add a lot to Richmond's structure and side. JR wouldn't give them more than Batchelor and Deledio. They don't need Mclean or Lucas.
I doubt that we're leaking anything.
We don't need even know who will be doing our trades after Icke resigned.
The rumoured offer was around $1m over 4 years. And while that was massive relative to the Cats salary cap space and Mumford's then rookie wage, it currently looks like an absolute bargain for Sydney for a player who is now probably our second most important / influential.

It is embarrassing how people take a comment from Dangerfield at a time when he was supporting his coach struggling to hold his job and then use it as a basis of a trade rumor
Danger is going nowhere and he is already starting to strike up a relationship with Sanderson and I expect him to take some huge strides under a young coach.....

I don't mind if Brisbane take McGuane, as long as they pay peanuts for him, pay him peanuts to play and his spot on the list doesn't cause Brisbane to be lulled into a false sense of security. I'd hate to see them recruit an average KPD in hope that all he needs is a scenery change and then compromise their drafting strategy. We still need to recruit quality young KPP's. I very much doubt that Luke McGuane is the answer to our defensive woes.
I'd rather we chased someone better though.
McGuane will be depth. We already have Staker out for 2012 and Merretts injury could keep annoying him It can be a very bad injury. Drummond is almost always injured.

Carlton than give St Kilda pick 15 for Goddard.
Richmond will than on trade Bower to one of GWS pre listed players they are interested in.
The same chap tells me St Kilda are in serious financial strife and may be even facing some sanctions. Need to get rid of 2 stars, Goddard and Dal Santo most likely.

I'd go for that. Richmond need depth and that would add the required depth. You've got to look at everything IMO.
I just don't think St Kilda would take a pick 15 for Goddard. Pick 15 and a decent player (Hampson?) Although they might have to if they need to balance the books.
