Or atleast, The AFL clubs should wake up, and see that Centrals ahve a talented list, And should be drafting there players

Pretty silly thread. Theyd have to go the right way about it and draft through the AFL, start from scratch like all new teams.

Centrals should ****en give someone else a turn at even PLAYING in a GF. Its just getting ridiculous. Cant be good for the SANFL at all.

Or the rest of the SANFL do what they did. Work their junior areas well and top up with players are not quite AFL standard.

And no I dont support them, but live out here and see the presence they have here in respect to their junior development.

Cant help it if there is no competition good enough.

I find it ironic on this day, that your avatar, has a Bulldog in it (WB I know, but still) ;)

That is a stupid comment. Anyone who expects a team to just stand aside for another is seriously deluded. You do not play football to not win premierships, Port Adelaide personified this edict -- "We exist to win premierships" -- back in the days of Ebert and Cahill and no one would dare make that kind of comment to them.

How about the other clubs grow some balls and rise to the challenge, rather than expect the Bulldogs to lay down and surrender. Its not Central's fault that no-one has been able to match their intensity in the last nine seasons bar the Eagles and Sturt.

Helps when you have a closer look at what juniors they do have to work with tho http://www.gisca.adelaide.edu.au/projects/SANFL_boundary_results.html

The SANFL needs to refresh each clubs (Boundarys) zoned areas.

But yeah good on em :thumbsu: and no they arent at an AFL standard club just yet...

So look at how big an area South Adelaide has. Much bigger than CDFC. And what have they done...

yes but half of that South adelaide area is country which means not very many people! and country football league's are in abundance there would be fair load that could play SANFL but choose to play with their country club.

Am I saying that they should stand aside.

I am just saying its shit for the competition.

And I wouldn't exactly say the playing field has been 'fair'. Your club does have alot of money to throw around when compared to some of the other clubs.

Pretty much...

Anyway, does not two teams play in a Grand Final? Only those good enough get a shot at that, Centrals are obviously that damn good to be there nine times in a row, whether other people like it or not. Its up to the other eight to try and de-throne them.

As for it not being good for the SANFL, what do you want them to do, sabotage one team's campaign to make way for someone else?

And CDFC are obviously very good with their money, what does that say about the other clubs? You ever hear the phrase "You need to spend money to make money"?

Centrals in the AFL? And replacing Port at that? Ridiculous.
The Dogs would get nowhere near Melbourne.
And Port deserve their spot in the AFL - they worked hard to do that.

The comments about money are funny, yes Centrals have some cash but that doesn't win you squat. Look at South if spending money guaranteed success they would be in the GF every year. It's about running your club professionally and recruiting smartly. Not over rated ex AFL players.

Centrals going to the AFL is a fantastic idea. That way we get to play Sturt in a GF and might actually come away with a premiership! :thumbsu:

Fair enough Richmond should take their place in the SANFL. The AFL clubs should wake up, and see that Richmond have a talent free list, and should be shunning their players.

Watching centrals play especially in finals is almost like winding the clock back & watching the Magpies. They play a very similar simple brand of football - apply as much pressure as possible throughout the entire 4 quarters because they know the other team will crack under pressure eventually. Having the skill level to use the ball effectively/efficiently & having a tight/mean/rebounding half back line.. it's rather ironic too that if you look back when the Magpies dominated the competition particularly in the 80's that not too many high scores were kicked against them in finals... the other teams would be lucky to kick more than 10 goals & then look at centrals record in finals...

This is a silly thread, but this is also a silly comment. Centrals would give Melbourne a good run for their money.

Absolute garbage. Melbourne would boot Central off the ground, it would be embarrassing. Anyone who thinks Central would get wiithin 15-20 goals of any AFL team has no understanding of the huge gap in ability. All the "stars" in the Central team are AFL rejects ... not good enough, not fast enough .. not anything enough. Get real people. Can you imagine big fat lumbering McKenzie loping around in the AFL. I'm laughing my head off just thinking about it. :)

Yep thats for sure, the training science between AFL and SANFL teams is a chasm. With the talent to go with it.
