I had to laugh at this weeks injury update video. Ashcroft was talking about Thompson having to get through this week to be right to play and in the background Rory was walking around, i was half expecting him to do his hammy during the video.

Someone heard him speak at a NEAFL game and Ben said that he also got kicked in the calf at training a few weeks after the quad and developed a blood clot. Iirc, they are being cautious with the calf rather than the quad.
 
I actually have never been this confident in beating West Coast before, even though our form hasn't been great, West Coasts has been far from convincing and now they are missing Kennedy who usually kicks a bag when he plays the Suns

Although it's been a disappointing season so far, to get our first wins over Hawthorn and West Coast in one year would be awesome.

Have to wonder what kind of career Day will end up with

Really rate him and think if he kept at it he could be a great forward. Not sure he'll get there and if he does it may be Waite-esque late

Someone like Lachie Hansen for the Roos. Very early pick, took ages to come on, now a very useful swingman for them.

Being pick 3 put him under unfair pressure. Never going to be Wayne Carey but a good tall utility who took a 2nd defender away from Lynch and allowed 2MP to have 3rd defender. Could also ruck at times and go back and do a job.
Unfairly maligned at times. Much better return (and bloke) than 2 of our other top 10 picks back then. Caddy and Gorringe.

Was on afl game day on channel 7 Sunday morning for the hole show. Said he will be fine for next weekend but his modelling career is on hold
