50/50 Game IMO

All our batters have played a few good innings for the tournament with a lot of fails in between. It is one of the top 3 or 4's responsibility to go big, as Head, Warner, Marsh have all done at times through the tournament

The biggest worry might be the weather with the forcast not looking good for Thursday and the reserve day Friday. If no result by Friday South Africa will go through to the final as they finished higher on the ladder.
The radars im reading say it looks fine. Source: Timeanddate.com

Only need a minimum total of 40 overs of the course of the 2 days to get a result.

Toss will be crucial. SA bat very well batting first but struggle with the pressure of the chase and will even more so with then pressure of a semi-final given their history. We are not doing great at getting wickets early so if they bat first they could score big.

What if Pat Cummins wins the toss on Thursday and decides to have a bat? If he does, South Africans will have nightmares of 1999 come flooding back. And the problem for the Proteas is, they don't have a Lance Klusener in their team. Remember Klusener? Klusener got South Africa to within a boundary of winning that epic semi final only to watch Allan Donald make a brain fade and cost South Africa the game.

Their barometer is de Kock - I'd be interested in the Proteas' win/loss percentage when he fails.

Watch Cummins win the toss and decide to have a bowl...
are they still predicting 30-40% chance of rain? or should we hedge our bets on the reserve day if required?

if the game is unable to be completed with a result, then South Africa will advance to the final

Because we're talking about rain and South Africa and world cup semi finals. What a time to be alive.
