Freo lifted early in the 2nd but we stuck with them and the pressure forced them to make mistakes. Not sure how it looks on TV but live it's been physically imposing.

Well, I think that was everything that we were hoping for. A dominant midfield, lots of inside 50s, a great forward performance (5 goals from Riccardi clearly a pleasant surprise), excellent pressure, and a rock solid defence that kept opposition scoring to a minimum while unleashing a running counterattack. was missing; the combo of he & Jack Buckley is simply outstanding.

Callum Brown has become a weapon forward, just needs to finesse a few things.

Agree with other commentary that Derksen needs to be given an opportunity, seeing how well he has been going in VFL. It's the most pleasurable game of the Giants to be able to watch ... probably since 2019.

Cadman worked pretty hard and got to a lot of contests. The Freo defenders ragdolled him and got pushed off the ball fairly easily.
His tap to Toby for his 300th goal was his most direct contribution.

Briggs has racked up another win. Has been as big of a factor in the teams form turn around as anyone. The transition game has really evolved every week. For Kingsley to put this thought into practice speaks volumes for his coaching ability.
