Jarrad Waite, North Melbourne, has been charged with charged with engaging in rough conduct against Zach Merrett, Essendon, during the third quarter of the Round Seven match between North Melbourne and Essendon, played at Etihad Stadium on Friday May 15, 2015.

In summary, he can accept a $1000 sanction with an early plea.

Based on the video evidence available and a medical report from the Essendon Football Club, it was the view of the panel the incident should be classified as careless conduct with low impact to the head. The offence was classified as a $1500 sanction. The player has no applicable bad record. An early plea can reduce the penalty to a $1000 sanction.

Common sense prevails.

Kudos to those in judgement and .. god forbid.. *.

but he left the ground! shows how stiff JZ was.

He had a realistic alternative.

To not contest the ball.

That is the single biggest crock of s**t suspension in the history of ever.

How much better has the MRP been this year? They seem to be putting the slide rule away and just having an overall look at what a particular offence is worth in terms of punishment - plus getting rid of the ridiculous god/bad record crap - so they're making much better decisions.

So far. Touch Wood (the Mason kind).

Was a typically stupid thing that Waite did - his career is littered with them.

However it didn't deserve a week and the punishment is fair.

Also glad Fyfe got off. Would be utterly ridiculous for a champ to miss a game for that.

It will be a great game. Waite looks 10 times the player at North. Quietly happy Ross confirmed we will welcome back Mr McPharlin. We will need to work back hard in defense against your mob.:thumbsu:

am I wrong to love his thuggish ways? Backman look around when he is near - just needs to kick more goals before he can reach NDS and Nahas levels of acceptance

Waite is doing plenty of good work up the ground, as well as Drew and Browny, work rate is not a problem, if his opponent drops off him can be very dangerous, good below his knees, and also like his hurt factor in marking contests, as Jarred Rivers will attest, i heard some where on the tv tonight he has a heel issue, anyone know if this is true or not ?

On Channel 10 sports report last night, three North men having scans yesterday. Swallow hand, Brown Knee and Waite Heel.
Suggest that is reason he missed against Richmond rather than 'hamstring soreness" !

Who doesn't have a heel issue at North?

JW, must show us he can kick goals on a regular basis and lets leave Drew Petrie down back, it worked against Effendum, why not this week? Thoughts anyone.
