We cant just bin a bloke who the club and coaches invested in 4 months worth of preseason into and axe him on a day our midfield got monstered.

Other than the fact he has zero goal sense thats not an entirly absurd proposition given we have had mahony and turner with fwd roster spots recently. All 3 were/are honest triers.

I'm prepared to give him a bunch of games cos of his off season work. We have to reward that sort of stuff. But ultimately I think is where it ends up.

I don’t ever recall him being consistently clean in senior AFL games for premiership points. Big game for him.

I want to remove all doubt. If he cant stop fumbling and using it poorly by foot then you know what - we gave him the preseason and 2 games at it and he failed.
We then prioritise Phillips and Powell.

And this is coming from someone who knows what Phillips can do. Phillips feedback is he needs to learn he can't coast and needs to be manic 100% of the time to make it. Look at Wardlaw. Look at Oliver and Viney. That's the help George needs.
Phillips and Lazzaro are fighting for the same spot.
Powell is pretty much there to relieve LDU.
All 3 are extremely one dimensional so I understand the club is trying to open up their games elsewhere.

My personal view is that only 1 will be at the club next year.

Whitfield comes in and picks up footy, but Xerri chases him down from behind, lazz applies frontal pressure not allowing him to handball clear, X wins holding the ball. If Lazz hadn't applied the frontal pressure Whitfield would have disposed of it.

I wouldn't say he fumbled 1 ball. He couldn't take a tough one handed mark from a mung bullet from Scott, but he certainly didn't fumble a ground ball.
