That’s a part of it, but both teams have also struggled to score of late.

They said last night on First Crack that in the last 6 weeks (where they’re 2-4), Melbourne are 17th for scoring, averaging just 61 points per game, and that yesterday they had 71 inside-50’s for 5 goals. And they may be losing one of their two best scoring threats, in Fritsch.

While we’ve only cracked 100 points once this year and those who intercept well have had a field day against us in recent times, so May and Lever could have a picnic, and make it very hard for us to score again.

So this shapes as a low scoring slog.
