To anyone it may concern,

It is with great regret that I have to inform you all of my departure in AFL TM. Whilst I was always keen to go on, time restraints have led me to have to give up the coaching position for now. Real life involving uni and planning to hopefully mov in the next 6 months has made me short of time at the moment.

I felt it wasn't fair to play this if I couldn't have given it my all. I have really enjoyed the past few years playing it, and made the finals once in that time (6th in 2011 in my first year ala Michael Voss). Whilst I feel like my list is on the right path with a lot of potential, I knew that this off-season I would fall behind if I was to continue. The addition of Tom Boyd or Jack Martin will go a long way to go with Daniher, Toumpas, Libba, Stanley, Scully, Watts, Wellingham, Maric, Monfries, Palmer, Whitecross, Blair, A.Black. Whoever takes over has a few bright years ahead of them.

Whilst I will look on in envy of the scores, the lists, etc next year I'll hope that I can rejoin at a later date if the time permits. It may not necessarily be with this list, in fact it probably won't be (depending on a waiting list). The format is really taken for granted. It's the most accurate thing I've played to having a full list, contracts, etc (apart from maybe Premiership Coach but even that has restraints) and the work that Russian puts in every week and especially the off-season can not be undervalued. Maybe one day it might get easier for him if software is developed. The AFL TM and B&F awards were another big influence for why I wanted to stay on. fightingfury_88 did a great job with that a couple of weeks ago.

I hope you all keep playing and enjoy it. It really is a special game. Good luck with this off-season and next season. It's been a pleasure to play with all of you and hope we might get a beer and a pie at a game one day
