Was bored today. Came up with an exercise on a similar vein to the thread (but not threadworthy itself) - all time VFL/AFL team, each player must have a unique number to the rest of the 22. And to add a degree of difficulty can't include players who wore (primarily) single digit jumper numbers.

Cameron Ling (45) a chance you think in this era?

Number 47 is an interesting one. Not a particularly loved number, and it's quite possible I am forgetting someone, but James Kelly's two seasons at Essendon in #47 were surely as good as anyone in that number has produced.

Admittedly I never saw Alan Jarrott and have no memory of Leon Higgins either, but I'd take Kelly's two Essendon seasons over anything Ricky Olarenshaw produced, for example.

Mal Michael gets #48 by default. He was a good player at Collingwood.

No. 50.

Ryan Turnbull or Ben Brown?

Still believe that there is daylight between Plugger and Dusty
Lockett won a Brownlow as a FF and has kicked the most goals ever..
Dusty can be the best from the number 36 jumper

Think another Brownlow medallist with sleeve tats has that covered.
