This is a bad analogy. You have to remember that this is an issue that was going to be played out in the public arena. If Bomber had spoken out in a tone that placed the Essendon people under the threat of exposure then he could have stopped it. You on the other hand at your work...well quite frankly who really cares and I say that without trying to be offensive.

That's not quite right, the club doctor warned them multiple times including Hird for whom he was/is also the family doctor and even put his concerns in writing to the board hence he was not cited.

That's not right bicks. He wrote one hand written letter and there's some question as to who saw it. The doping went on for eight months after he wrote it. IMO he failed in his duty of care to those players, and so did everyone else in the footy department.
