I still think at its core, Black Ops 1 was the 2nd best CoD, just a pity the lag and poor hit detection ruined it.

Brilliant map design, contracts system was fun, no target finders & my favourite streaks of all time, the Napalm Strike and the Chopper Gunner & Dogs combo.

Blops 2, whilst enjoyable, had ridiculous levels of quick scoping, bouncing betty whores galore and that target finder rubbish. It had good maps but also some of the worst like Express, Yemen & Drone.

Blops 1 had a great feel to it (horse galloping and all), differentiated itself a lot more being from a different era and did have some awesome maps!

I think that's an issue where people say all the games are exactly the same is they come from the same era - modern/future, and they do look very similar.

I wonder if COD has now cornered itself by introducing jet packs etc. that they might not be able to remove that in future games, so will make it even harder to set the game in the past.

My favourites in order (from my experience):
MW2 ( lag free 1st, maps 4th, respawn =1)
Black Ops 1 ( lag free 3rd, maps 1st, respawn =1)
Ghosts ( lag free 2nd, maps 5th, respawn 3rd)
Black Ops 2 (lag free 4th, maps 2nd, respawn 4th)
MW3 ( lag free 5th, maps 3rd, respawn 5th)

(Never played the original MW)

I don't know why all the hate of Ghosts TBH. It may have the worst maps of the series, but except for MW2 I found it to be the least laggy and ran better in general ( at least from my experience. Other people seem to still have that issue). I value a game which runs well with little lag over one which had bad lag and good maps.

Also it's worth noting that I play predominately TDM, while it appears most people here play Domination.

Blops 2 was definitely the worst for lag - one game I'd be invincible, with a HUGE lag advantage.
Next game I'd lose host, or someone else would host and I'd be melted in 1/2 a second.

The game therefore became about what connection you were on, and very little to do with skill. I also disliked the maps, they were made for run and gun, which means lag was a big factor in determining who wins the fire fight.

Ghosts was just boring for me, bad score streaks and I think it had 1 good map.

I'm curious to what made the score streaks bad from your perspective in Ghosts?

From my perspective the score streaks were a bit bland in ghosts (except for the dog score streak). Especially the support score streaks. In MW3 I have to give them credit for having the support score streak effective at helping the team and having an impact. In general in MW3 60% of the people were using Assault, 30% were using support and 10% were using specialist, which made it a good balance. I very rarely see people using the support score streak in ghosts.

The best score/kills streak IMO was in ghosts. But that was probably I managed to get the dogs/chopper combo on a fairly regular basis.:)

I think you've got your games mixed up.

Well to be honest, I only played Ghosts for like a week or 2 on release, so I don't remember exactly what it was, but I felt like there wasn't a good balance or variety of streaks.

In other games there was always a really awesome combination of OP streaks.
Blops 2 - VSAT - Dogs - Swam
MW3 - Attack Helicopter - AC130 - Osprey Gunner.
Blops 1 - Blackbird - Chopper Gunner - Dogs
MW2 - Attack Helicopter - Ac 130 - Nuke OR Predator - Attack - AC 130.

A lot of the time if you got the first they'd just roll into the others.

I found the Loki to be a bit cr@p in Ghosts as the biggest streak it didn't feel like it really worth the kills.
The reason I find longevity in these games is because of the challenge to get the streaks or MOABs. Ghosts just didn't have that, and the poor maps and didn't help either.

A secret achievement for Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare has been revealed on many sites today. The achievement is called Exo Survivor, and states that “Successfully complete the Exo Survival Bonus Wave” with an image of zombies. Now, it is important to note that this is part of the Exo-Survival co-op mode, not a different mode.

Have all this mic abuse building up inside due to Destiny not having mic chat in multiplayer. Looking forward to abusing people probably as much as i am the actual game.

The good ol' yearly Bigfooty party get together, just hope it lasts longer than Ghosts.

The yearly "there wont be quick scoping in this game"

http://www.charlieintel.com/2014/10...d-to-other-classes-hints-at-no-quick-scoping/

Let me put it this way, sniper classes are not going to be overpowered relative to their peers. The ability to master a sniper rifle and be great at it will be equal to the ability to master any other class. We’ve done some things to make sure snipers are not able to take advantage of their properties – for example, there are attachments based on weapon classes that are specific. The ability to quick-draw with an assault rifle is important, but you don’t want to have the ability to quick-draw with a sniper rifle because that lends itself to being a faster, quick-scope model. We spent a lot of time trying to focus on it so I think sniper class players will find that it’s a really rewarding experience, but it won’t be over-powered relative to their peers.

We'll see in a couple of weeks i guess. But for now

Itch that needs to be scratched.

After all the backlash over the omission of Dead Silence, Sledgehammer has done a 180 and put it back in the game, kinda.

It returns as an exo ability called Exo Mute, this means that it can't be used constantly and only lasts 20 seconds per life (30 seconds with Overcharged equipped).

I do not see how you can play a game of Search and Destory without dead silence. Stupid imo

13 maps + the Pipeline remake for preordering the Limited Edition.
So less than last year. #nextgen

Hopefully the map quality is at least a step up from the dogshit Ghosts served up.

So hostile. Haven't played game yet.

I don't need to see a Jason Friedberg & Aaron Seltzer movie to know it's s**t - their track record speaks for itself.

Unlike their movies though, COD somehow manages to dupe me into spending money on it every year.
