After Zimbabwe allowed South Africa to score 96 runs in the last 5 overs and the West Indies to score 72 in the last 5 overs they did a bit better with Pakistan only getting 43. Although the quality of the opposition means they didn't really do all that much better and they also dropped two sitters in that time as well. They've made 7/235. Zimbabwe should be able to pass that but as we saw with NZ the result's never a certainty.

Pakistan are going to win but Zimbabwe got a lot closer than expected. They needed 34 off 24 but then Panyangara was unable to get even one run off the 47th over to shut the gate.

The margin here is just less than the difference between what the teams scored in the last 5 overs. Pakistan scored 43 in the last 5 overs and Zimbabwe scored 20. Final margin was 20 runs.

Pakistan dropping catches all over the place. Zimbabwe are 4/150 and 86 runs off winning but they should be at least 5 for and probably for less runs. Their wicketkeeper Akmal is the main offender.
What's that old joke? What do Michael Jackson and Umar Akmal have in common? Both wear gloves for no apparent reason :)

So no games today...with 14 teams and max 2 games per day. No wonder the tournament goes for 6 fricken weeks.
Oh come on - it was completely necessary for Ireland v UAE to be scheduled as a stand alone game :)

No I agree: they've dragged it out almost as long as the ASADA investigation, and as a result we have to wait another 34 days for Port's first proper game!!!!!!!

Strange poll on the espncricinfo site. They're asking who from outside the eight may make the finals. Probably no-one but they only have 7 options and have included Scotland, who will be lucky to win a match, and excluded England who could scrape in if they win their last two matches.

Heard on the morning news that many believe Afghanistan has a better pace attack than England - which in some ways is a dire indictment on the Poms. But it does indicate that our top order will need to give them due respect, or possibly suffer the consequences.

Of course, today will probably be the day Watson makes a good score - thereby ensuring his place in the team until the next World Cup :)

Well that's not going to happen as Watto's been dropped (long overdue) for Faulkner lol.

Which is funny when he was like the 2nd top run scorer for us in that bowlers paradise clash against the kiwis but yeah i'm glad Faulkner's back, the pressure is on Marsh now to keep his spot.
