First round draftee Nathan Hrovat will continue building his career at the Western Bulldogs, after agreeing to a contract extension that will commit him to the Club until at least the end of 2016.

Loved what I saw from hrovat this year. Great vision and feel for the game. Tough, makes good decisions and uses it well. Big time excited by him. Think he starts in round 1 even with McCartney picking a conservative team.

No, I dont think so. I think list managers across the league are realising that young players can and will move clubs, and you're better off locking them away sooner for longer.

We obviously really rate our 2012 draftees! I'd be very surprised if Hunter doesn't get re-signed soon as well, and Prudden is untried as of yet. The rest are locked away for a while.

Ruck department is well balanced at the moment with a clear cut number 1 in his prime, backed up by a physically mature young ruck man that can also play forward, with 2 young 2nd rucks/key position players (roughie and cordy) on the list as well. Set up to transition nicely if we can hang onto Minson and campbell.

Hunter ranks number 2 on my 2012 draftee rankings. Kid has special vision and awareness. Throw in his elite level agility, tank (ability to develop one), goal-sense and just the right amount of swagger, and we have ourselves a ripping goal-kicking mid lads.
