Yes he said fagan needs to "manage expectations" and "if we're lucky we may get a second round pick if Geelong feel generous" (along with the afl compo pick). Geelong will not trade for danger

Collingwood/Carlton/Essendon will be rubbing their hands together on this sort of talk.
If I was Collingwood at least, I'd back the club to recruit a top 3 player for free in the PSD and get some value out of him.

Hutchy, orr pls. Grow a brain. Put your Geelong bias aside and have a think about the teams that have a pick in the draft before Geelong. one of those will grab him. No doubt whatsoever. No way can Geelong engineer to get a draft pick higher than three teams (at least 3) Regardless of whether Patty wants to play at one of those teams or not, if he wants to play footy next year, he will have no choice.
Stop the nonsense and realise Geelong will be giving up this years first round (bare minimum), as well as next year's first round/or a half decent player.
so another question, if PD goes into the draft and Brisbane pick him up. he then decides to quit footy because he doesn't want to go up there. what then?

Excuse my intrusion but you guys should be getting at least 2 first rounders and a first 22 player in return for Dangerfield.

It was a 3 team trade in which we got pick 4 and Torney from Richmond for Kane Johnson and Picks..we then traded pick 4 to North.
A few weeks later Carlton lost pick 1 and 2 because of salary cap breaches and Norths pick turned into pick 2 (Daniel Wells)

Agree that sounds "fair" but this is the afl and when have they been fair. I think a minimum is 2 first round picks. Number 9, and 2016 first round.

He isn't legally compelled to sign a contract with Brisbane, but can't play in the AFL next year unless he does. He could then nominate for next years draft as can anyone else, and take his chances. The only sure way of getting to Geelong is to stand out for 3 years then sign on as a category B rookie for 30 odd grand a year!
