This is no coincidence. The AFL has purposely set the draw up this way to give the Suns an advantage of not leaving Queensland for a minimum of a month late in the season. This stretch of games that I am dubbing The Queensland Swing will become really important to the team in the future and could easily be difference between playing finals/a top 4 finish.

Of course we are currently in the middle of the fourth Queensland Swing. Minimal amounts of travelling and two wins in their next two games against the Lions and Saints will go a long way to still being in the hunt for finals this year. Anyway, it's something I've noticed and thought it was a good talking point.
