Seems to be a common assumption in the media that if any player takes a ban then Hird will stand down. Has Hirdy actually said this publically? What about if a player like Ryder or Monfries does a deal and accepts a ban but with no admission of guilt? Does Hird hang on?

Hird will never stand down. He will be dragged out of that place kicking and screaming while his wife takes notes.

I don't think James Hird has said he'd stand down in that event. Mark Thompson did though, on AFL 360 last year.

Hird will sue the player involved if his track record is anything to go by.... he will sue anyone and everyone - except Dank. Why is that?
