This template is written to resemble @Smeagle’s Microsoft Paint/Word tutorial. So if you see any resemblance, that’s why. Anyway’s… Enjoy!

This first tutorial is the basics. Basic top, shorts and socks. I’ll add the next layer of complexity at a later date…

Preparation
To start off, you’ll need Microsoft Paint and, in the last stage, Word. I’m using Windows 7, so that means Im unable to contrast anything in Word (If you need to do this, I use Paint.net. It’s a free program and helps a lot with guernsey design.
Secondly, you’ll need the template here:
1.png

Templates
This is the 2013 ISC template, Ill post more at a later date, so look here for more updates in the future. So, you open this up in Paint and have a fiddle around if you’d like. The two greens are simplified, so if you change the colour via the bucket tool, the whole thing changes. However, the person’s arms still have faint traces of the green from before it was simplified, so I recommend using the green anyway.

Reserved for templates.
This is where Ill post the templates as I complete more

Reserved for insignia.
As I make them, or others do so and show me, Ill post new designs here (sashes, hoops etc.)
The design
Ok, so for this tutorial, I’ll be recreating the bulldogs guernsey on an ISC 2013 template. (yes, I know that’s not how it should be, but I don’t care).

So save the above template as a .png file and open it up.

2.png
Next, copy (Ctrl+A) (Ctrl+C) and paste (Ctrl+V) into a new paint document.
After you, have done this, open up three squares, ready to hold the three colours we’ll use.

3.png
As a hint, this whole thing is easier with Transparent selection turned on.

4.png
Now to fill in those squares with the colours. The RGB colour code for Red is R=242, G=0, B=23 and Blue is R=13, G=54, B=154. As for white, that’s 255, 255, 255. So fill each square with a colour in each using the bucket tool.

5.png
Now save this file and open it up in Paint as well. I know it’s not as clean as anyone is used to, but in the long run, it looks alright. The brown at the base is to show you where to put it in regards to the bottom of the guernsey.

6.png
So copy and paste this into the untitled document like so

7.png
Now, using the dropper tool, select the blue colour we created earlier. After this, select the bucket tool, colour in the brown parts of the guernsey and the white above it.

8.png
With the red selected via the dropper tool, colour the top hoop. Do this again with white on the bottom hoop.

9.png
Again, with the above process, colour the shorts and the white part of the socks blue
10.png

Next is the last colouring step. Just add red to the black part.

11.png
Lastly, in this basic part of the tutorial, simply copy and paste the original picture onto the new one to ensure clean lines that hide any blemishes.

You may notice that there are two grey lines and a black one that act as a border. As with footyjumpers.com, these are used as team colour borders. According to the site, the darker colour is at the outside (Navy, black, blue etc) and the white or lighter colour on the inside (white, yellow etc). So as to the website, it should go red, white and blue from inside to out. To do so, use the dropper tool and bucket tool to re-colour these.
12.png
Delete any unwanted parts (the colour boxes) narrow the borders and we’re done. Time to save…

Saving
To save, copy and paste into a word document and resize to the size you’d like. I recommend keeping it as is though. Right click and select “save as picture”. Then select the folder and an appropriate name (I named this “Bulldogs tutorial recreation”). Then hit save and you’re done.

Congratulations! You just completed the first tutorial on creating the full uniform.

Hey every one!
So here is the next level of the tutorial. I’ll be making a Nike jumper for a Carlton design. Already posted should be some more templates, each with a different collar. Currently, I’ve been adding logos at the top of the template to represent which template is being used. This is because the jumper itself is too small (obviously) to have a stand out logo. For adidass, I’ve used my own symbol. Feel free to use one that you prefer. I’ve also added a small date at the bottom for guernseys that shows when a change may have occurred. All details are as close as correct according to www.footyjumpers.com.

Any ways… on with the tute! As I mentioned earlier, I will be using the Nike 2007-today template (according to the website). However, unlike the previous tutorial, I won’t be using a design template (Hoops, stripes etc.) I’ll be describing how to create a new one from scratch.

So this here’s the template

1.png

Shall we start? OK! Now by holding shift whilst drawing auto shapes in Paint, this allows us to draw a perfect square, circle, star etc. So we’ll do this here on the left shoulder (our left, player’s right). Use a different colour to what we already have (that is, something easily seen).

2.png

And we want three of these.

3.png

And once more with the bottom right (our right, player’s left).

4.png

Next, we re-paste the template on top, whilst maintaining the transparency on as explained in tutorial one.

5.png

You will also want to zoom in and with the bucket tool on white, erase the parts in the collar, cuffs and shorts.
6.png

Now, like I’ve mentioned before, we’ll need the RGB codes for Carlton. Their navy blue is 1, 25, 49. White is all 255 and the baby blue is 121,189,232. Create these colours and put them in three boxes like before.

7.png

Now, top enter the Carlton monogram. The resized one is located in this thread, so just find it, save and open again in Paint.

8.png

Re-colour the white parts another colour then recolour the black into white.

9.png

Ctrl+A, Ctrl+C, and paste into the working document at the approximate middle of the torso.

And now, utilising our friend the bucket tool, fill in the white are between the circles, navy blue and each purple ring

11.png

Fill the baby blue in the outside rings (largest and smallest) and the monogram in white.

12.png

As for the collars, these will be in Navy, along with shorts.

13.png

Now, as for the socks, you’ll notice they’re similar to those in the Universal template thread… So we’ll treat them the same. I’m not going to write the tutorial for them, so for more info, look at the paint tutorial.

14.png

Finally, the border.

15.png

And we’re done! Congratulations!
