Anyway, here's a pic of a few movies in my room I took last time I was at mum and dads

Go your hardest

EDIT: Just noticed Mary Poppins next to Marilyn Manson. Classy.

Really? I've given it a go recently and have struggle to get through it. I accept I'm in the minority and I really try, but just doesn't happen for me.
There's a lot of things I like about the film. The sheer craziness and mistakes that fill it, the music, the amount of actors that are actually fried in scenes during the films and ultimately how you view the film as a whole comment on the war and human nature.

Waiting with Ryan Reynolds

Waiting is my favourite RR movie. To a lesser extent Definitely, Maybe; Just Friends, Buried (only seen it once tho) and Chaos Theory. So many quotable lines from that movie, I reckon my favourite is from that girl who rages all the time: "..... well you think so? That's great... but why dont you just WASH THE ****ING DISHES AND SHUT THE HELL UP". :D

And the scene between RR and his mother at the dinner table = classic.
Sam from Freaks and Geeks at the end = brilliant.

I'm not going to post my DVD list either. Can't be arsed. However:

Go to chick flick: The Descent

Go to musical: The Blues Brothers

Go to comedy: Ghostbusters

Go to thriller: Silence of the Lambs

Go to horror: John Carpenter's The Thing

Go to weepie: Requiem for a Dream

Go to cult: Eraserhead, Basket Case

Go to drama: The Shawshank Redemption

Go to chick flick: That high school reunion with Pheobe from Friends, I guess.

Go to musical: Rocky Horror Picture Show or Lion King.

Go to comedy: Flying High/Naked Gun/Orgazmo/Ghostbusters

Go to thriller: Jaws

Go to horror: Dawn of the Dead remake, A Nightmare on Elm St 3 or Halloween. Actually Friday the 13 part 4 is up there as well.

Go to weepie: Terminator 2 Judgement Day chokes me up.

Go to cult: Star Wars

Go to drama: Rocky

I'd like to add.

Go to epic: Lord of the Ring trilogy

Go to action: Rambo/Terminator 2/GoldenEye/Kickboxer/Raiders of the lost Ark/The Rock/Jurassic Park

Could go on for a while in that last category.

For a very underrated action film that also is surprisingly scary, if because of its complete lack of dialogue as much as anything, watch Duel.

Spielberg's first film.

I will never forget watching these three films late at night on FTA:

The Breakfast Club
Once Were Warriors and
Duel.

I also saw the film Irreversible on DVD. Never forget that one in a hurry either. Nor do I wish to watch it again, ever.

I

Go to thriller: Silence of the Lambs

SOTL came out circ 1991 yeah? At 11 years of age was too young to be watching that when it came out at the movies. Would have been oh so good to see that final scene where Foster is being stalked by Buffalo Bill with his night vision goggles.

More people need to see The Last Boy Scout.

90's Bruce Willis being the most badass version of Bruce Willis for two hours.

Goon who is about to die: "Hey pal, settle down. I'm just trying to break the ice."

Bruce Willis: "Yeah, well I like ice... Leave it the * alone."

Yep, in all honesty Willis is a bit weak outside of Die Hard, but Last Boy Scout is mint.
