Hawks be aiming at 10 wins? Is that realistic?

Should have been 10 this year. Snatched defeat from the jaws of victory against GWS, Adelaide and Richmond.

The internal improvement from season to season of Day, Newcombe, MacDonald, Ward and a few others is enough to realistically anticipate an improved win/loss ratio.

I'll say the 8-11 win range is covering the expectations. The boys will think finals are a chance though I'm sure.

Minimum 8 wins. Anything under will be a huge fail. Would mean another bottom 4 finish.

Maximum 12 wins. If and it’s a big if Mitch Lewis can miraculously play 18+ games, this is a realistic number. If he gets injured like history suggests and misses 6+ games, we will be a lock to finish bottom 4. We simply don’t have enough quality in the forward half of the ground.

Hopefully we can get Ben McKay. We are still another key forward and quality small forward short of doing much damage next season.

2025 is the year we start our journey back to hopefully playing finals.

Yep, dearth of quality forwards sticks out like a sore thumb. Brockman going home, Wingard achilles, Butler and Kositzche stagnating which leaves Lewis, injury prone and Breust turning turning 33 as our only certifiably quality forwards. Maybe Bennets or O’Sullivan come on or we take Watson in the draft. What ever the outcome we are still going to be lean in that part of the ground.
