It may have been cross posted earlier but Lass Diarra has been ruled out of the World Cup, which has been well known for a while.
However, in looking into his "stomach issues" it turns out that Lass actually has sickle-cell amenia, which is a genetic blood disorder where the red blood cells dont function as normal.

Its not a well known disease, and this could, but might not be career ending, which is a massive shame because Diarra is one of the most underrated and under appreciated players in the game. He is a defensive minded midfielder at Real FFS, where defence is hardly fashionable.
