It was good to get down to the G tonight & observe training.
Training consisted of Kicking, kicking & more kicking with stretching in between each kicking drill. There was a bit of slightly higher tempo stuff towards the end.
The night was really all about enticing our MCC fans to become MFC members & Danners gave a fair pitch aimed at them. "The Hasset Room" was packed with Dees fans, it was like a mini aftermatch. Danners made a point of mentioning that the MCC had "given everyone else the arse" so we could train there. He got Adem Yze up first & he was his usual jovial self. Aaron Davey was introduced as a kid who's going to play his first game this Saturday. He recieved a great reception from the 200+ that were in attendance. He is very quietly spoken but does seem to be enjoying life at the MFC. Tonight was only his 2nd time on the MCG, his first being Family day.
Neeta was the last player interviewed, he did nothing special at training to be honest. He did however look like a guy without too many worries in his interview, big smile, very jovial. My gut feeling after seeing that is that he'll play on Saturday.
Sylvia wasn't sighted & won't play at Sandy this Sunday vs Box Hill. Walsh looked very proppy & will miss too. The rest of the lads looked ok at training but there wasn't a lot to take out of it to be honest.
It was good to catch Hells Bells again & meet Finks, Go Johnno & Big Red Fire Engine from Demonland. Overall it was a good night & I'm a little more confident that we're ready for this season.
