Have a cry about it. The designs are great. My only knock on them is not venturing away from the purple/yellow colour scheme and exploring red, green, royal blue or ochre gradients.
Ochre gradients over the top of the old Freo guernsey would be the best idea of all time

Yeah - Too much Eagle for me... Perhaps if the "Sea Eagles" had an Eagle that was completely unique to the ones used... but yeah :/

Fair enough. I tried using Manly's NRL logo; it looked fine as a recoloured logo on its own but I couldn't make it suit the jumpers, neither the wings design or even the ochre swooping eagle.

Or the worst...

Well I guess I'd like to see a Port/Crows merger. But don't get me wrong, if I wasn't a Freo supporter I would love the designs.

So you're saying that I'm crying about it by giving my opinion... and then you have a "knock on them"...

If you'd read previous posts I've complimented pie_machines designs... Can't like them all!

I have confused feelings about this. Great designs but the thought of being merged with that mob up the road.......not nice
It's even more embarrassing for us. Imagine being merged with a side with zero premierships.

1Essendon Power.png

Essendon Power
Team colours:
The Essendon Football Club - albeit now the Power - remains true to the club's constitution: "The uniform for the AFL Premiership season will consist of a black jumper or guernsey with a red sash." However, as a reference to the Power, the sash is now a lightning bolt, somewhat inspired by the 2008 Planet Teal jumper. Like Port's current jumper, the back is also completely black. The clash jumper - just like Essendon's current clash- is predominantly silver and outlines the sash in black.

2Port Adelaide Bombers.png

Port Adelaide Bombers
Team colours:
The Bombers fly to South Australia to form the Port Adelaide Bombers. Just like Port's current jumper, all of the Bombers' jumpers feature a vee. But unlike the SA-style, the vee is wider like a reflected Essendon sash. Just like Essendon's current clash, the clash jumper is predominantly silver and outlines the red vee in black. The red preseason jumper features the Bomber logo in the middle, similar to Port's 2009 Planet Teal design (before the vee was adopted full-time).

3Port Adelaide Jets.png

Port Adelaide Jets
Team colours:
The Bombers nosedive into Alberton and adopt a more family-friendly mascot as the Port Adelaide Jets. The jumpers replace Essendon's red sash with Port's teal. The clash jumper outlines the sash in white to increase the contrast and features Port Adelaide's traditional white number panel from both the AFL and the SANFL. The logo has been appropriated from the 1978 New York Jets.

4Port Adelaide Lightning Bombers.png

Lightning Bombers
Team colours:
The Bombers combine with Port Adelaide's lightning to form the Lightning Bombers, inspired by the World War II US bomber: the Lockheed P-38 Lightning. The home jumper features Essendon's red sash cutting off Port Adelaide's traditional prison bars.

Soon: Collingwood & Richmond...

1Collingwood Tigers.png
Collingwood Tigers
Team colours:
  • Black (from both teams)
  • Yellow (from Richmond)
The Tigers prowl down Punt Road to Olympic Park to form the Collingwood Tigers. With the tiger mascot, the colours are obviously yellow and black (even though tigers are orange). The vertical stripe designs are clearly inspired by Collingwood, but they're also a reference to Richmond's inaugural VFL jumper. The preseason jumper is based on Collingwood's 2001-04 preseason jumper, with a tiger from Rochester Institute of Technology replacing the swooping magpie.

2Richmond Magpies.png
Richmond Magpies
Team colours:
  • Black (from both teams)
  • White (from Collingwood)
The Richmond Magpies are obviously black and white as a reference to their magpie mascot. The home and clash jumpers are based on Richmond's current set of jumpers, with white replacing the yellow sash. The preseason jumper is inspired by Richmond's preseason jumpers from 1998-2003; however, the tiger claw scratch marks have been replaced by magpie feathers.

3Collingwood White Tigers.png
Collingwood White Tigers
Team colours:
  • Black (from both teams)
  • White (from Collingwood)
Magpies aren't the only black and white animals; white tigers are a variant of Bengal tiger that lacks the pheomelanin pigment. The home jumper is based on Collingwood, whereas the away jumper is based on Richmond. In both cases, the jumpers are predominantly white (for white tigers) but the two designs should be able to avoid any clashes. The preseason jumper is similar to Richmond's current preseason design with the tiger logo, with subtle tiger stripes replacing the abstract swirls.

4East Melbourne Magpies.png
East Melbourne Magpies
Team colours:
  • Black (from both teams)
  • White (from Collingwood)
The two teams of Melbourne's inner eastern suburbs combine to form the East Melbourne Magpies. The jumper designs combine a variety of elements: Collingwood's persistent vertical stripes, Richmond's lesser known vertical stripes from the 1900s, Collingwood's stripe spacing from the 1998-2000 away and preseason jumpers, Richmond's vee and stripe combination from the pre-VFL 1890s, Collingwood's infamous 1982 Escort Cup vee, Richmond's 2004 fauxback funnel, a logo not dissimilar to Collingwood's swooping magpie, and a monogram appropriated from Eugene Metro Futbol Club.

Next: Melbourne & Western Bulldogs...

Why couldnt one of these options used black, white and yellow? i dont see why that couldnt work

I tried a double sash with black, yellow and white, but it didn't seem 'Collingwood' enough to me (but that might just be my own personal bias)...

But I should've added some white pin-striping to the Collingwood Tigers:

1Western Demons.png
Western Demons
Team colours:
  • Royal blue (from the Bulldogs and also 1970s colour TV Melbourne)
  • Red (from both teams)
  • White (from the Bulldogs and also Melbourne's inaugural cricketing uniforms, when they were known as the 'Invincible Whites')
The Demons head to western suburbs of Melbourne to form the Western Demons. The home jumper is based on Melbourne's 1975-86 royal blue jumper, with a white stripe introduced as a reference to the Bulldogs overall colour scheme. The away jumper highlights red as a common colour for both teams, with the red and blue swapping like the Western Bulldogs red preseason/clash jumper. The away jumper also features Melbourne's traditional red socks. The away jumper is based on the Western Bulldogs' current white clash jumper, raising the hoops and kinking them to form a double vee. The logo flips the M of Melbourne's 1995-2007 logo to form a W for Western suburbs.

2Melbourne Bulldogs.png
Melbourne Bulldogs
Team colours:
  • Navy blue (from Melbourne and also 1940s Footscray)
  • Red (from both teams)
  • White (from the Bulldogs and also Melbourne's 'Invincible Whites')
The Bulldogs are on the leash and taken on a walk into the CBD to form the Western Demons. The home jumper is based on the Western Bulldogs' current jumper, with navy replacing royal blue, or alternatively, Footscray's inexplicably navy 1944-45 jumper. The clash jumper is based on the Western Bulldogs' current clash, again with navy replacing royal blue and Melbourne's traditional red socks. The preseason jumper is inspired by Melbourne's 2003-04 preseason jumper, and also is predominantly red like the Bulldogs' current preseason jumper.

3Footscray Demons.png
Footscray Demons
Team colours:
  • Royal blue (from the Bulldogs and also 1970s colour TV Melbourne)
  • Red (from both teams)
  • White (from the Bulldogs and also Melbourne's 'Invincible Whites')
The Footscray portrayed in the film 'Romper Stomper' could be described as hell on Earth; so fittingly, the Demons rise in Footscray when football returns there. The home and away jumpers are inspired by both Melbourne's red vee yoke (specifically the royal blue version of the 1970s) and Footscray's 1935 jumper, again featuring a red vee. The away jumper is a modern re-creation of the Footscray jumper. The home jumper removes the stripes to look more Melbourne-like (coincidentally, when the Western Bulldogs used the '35 jumper in 2003 heritage round, they did the opposite and removed the red vee yoke). The white outlines on the away jumper also form an M for Melbourne. The clash jumper is somewhat based on Melbourne's current clash.

4Western Hellhounds.png
Western Hellhounds
Team colours:
  • Navy blue (from Melbourne and also 1940s Footscray)
  • Red (from both teams)
  • White (from the Bulldogs and also Melbourne's 'Invincible Whites')
The combination of demons and dogs results in the Western Hellhounds, with a three-headed Cerberus mascot. The home and clash jumpers are based on the Western Bulldogs' 1997-2011 home jumper and 2007-11 clash jumper, simply with the royal blue replaced by navy and the Bulldog logo replaced by the hellhound. Like Melbourne's away jumpers from 2005-07 and 2009, the preseason jumper is red with a navy logo in the middle.

Next, so that every team is done twice: Gold Coast and Sydney!

I'd like to see a GWS/Melbourne merger being the most likely of all possible procrastinations to occur. I believe its inevitable Melbourne will be forced up there to help them out like Fitzroy were forced to merge with Brisbane.

Don't think the AFL would let that happen. They need someone branded "Melbourne".

don't know how many people follow lawn bowls in australia (

Not that many. Except if you count the seniors playing or watching the televised lawn bowls series on the ABC.

And Id like to see GC/GWS cross. THese have all been wonderful designs! Great Work

Done. They're on the list...

1Sydney Suns.png
Sydney Suns
Team colours:
  • Red (from both teams)
  • Gold (from Gold Coast)
  • White (from Sydney)
The sun sets in Sydney with the Sydney Suns. The Opera House silhouette on the yoke of the Swans' home jumper is replaced by a rising sun. The clash jumper retains the rising sun yoke, but features a white back - similar to the Swans' inaugural jumper in Sydney - creating a better colour balance between the front and back and reducing the potential for jumper clashes. The preseason jumper features a large shining sun. The position of the sun is somewhat inspired by Gold Coast's breaking wave; the single red ray is a reference to South Melbourne's red sash from 1907-31.

2Gold Coast Swans.png
Gold Coast Swans
Team colours:
  • Red (from both teams)
  • White (from Sydney)
The swans fly even further north to the sunshine state to form the Gold Coast Swans. The home jumper is simply red with a white GC monogram. This is inspired by South Melbourne's 1920-22 jumper and Gold Coast's pre-AFL 2010 jumper without the gold side panels. The clash jumper swaps the colours and introduces the side panels from Gold Coast's home jumper. The preseason jumper features a Swan logo, with the curved neck forming a wave shape similar to Gold Coast's away jumper.

3South Melbourne Suns.png
South Melbourne Suns
Team colours:
  • Red (from both teams)
  • White (from Sydney)
The sun sets even further south when football returns to South Melbourne with the South Melbourne Suns. The home and clash jumpers feature a vee as a reference to both South Melbourne's vee from 1932-86 and another 'South' with Southport Sharks who were involved in the development of the Suns on the Gold Coast. The preseason jumper features gold sidepanels and a SMFC monogram, referencing Gold Coast's home jumper and South Melbourne's 1920-22 jumper respectively.

4Suns.png
Sydney Suns
Team colours:
  • Red (from both teams)
  • Blue (from Gold Coast)
  • White (from Sydney)
The Sydney Suns home jumper is modelled after Gold Coast's current clash jumper. The curved blue section represents Sydney Harbour with the Opera House featured in a similar fashion to Sydney's jumper. The curved shape also has ties to the Harbour Bridge. The red section represents a sunset sky, as well as obviously the Swans' red yoke. The clash jumper again features the Opera House silhouette; the horizontal stripes are a reference to South Melbourne's original 1897 VFL jumper. The preseason jumper is similar to the home jumper, but features blue skies as an optimistic forecast for the football season ahead.
