After enjoying a superb 2013 which saw our side improve from the depths of the ladder all the way up to third, we had a some what disappointing off season.
Following a lot of negotiation and thinking a few other trades would take place we ended up only completing 1 trade.
That trade involved me trading D.Beams + L.Whitfield + A.Moore for J.Viney + H.Hocking + 11 +17.
This trade was done for 2 reasons, firstly to release some cap pressure with getting rid of Beams which would allow me to target a couple of free agents (If i new the rules this would of worked ok) but it also gave me 11 + 17 which I was planning on using to get in some new top end talent which would of spiked me towards a premiership tilt this coming season. I'm also confident the Viney can be a better scorer then Whitfield.
All in all I had an underwhelming off season which would of turned very positive with the additions of Shiels & Frawley but the dreaded dead line passed without the paper work being completed.
