The trade couldn't be a really obviously lop-sided deal. It would have to be in the realm of normality or else the AFL would step in.

I believe we've been assured, or it has been indicated that we will get either band 2 or 3. Wouldn't have done it otherwise, I don't believe.

Oh yeah the AFL would step in please.
I'm more saying that they would be prevented from doing a deal such as 26 and Delaney for 37 (whatever the compo will be).

StKilda have moved a 30 year old on that has clearly played his best footy a couple of years back for a very usable draft pick seems like a win to them.
For pick 1 or 2 next year, most likely and a big dominant unit like Pat McCartin, Hugh Goddard, or Wright, to go with all the "mids" we select this year with as many as 4 or 5 picks in the first 25.
Sad day for us. Awesome pick up for North though. Ought to be good for 3 more very good years and maybe one to two at a diminished level after that, probably across HB. Strong chance to get to 350 games.

I've baked some humble pie to snack on if he gets band 2 or band 3.
Get the pie ready, won't be any worse than band 3, probably band 2.
I suspect we'll get band 2 or 3 for Dal and that Melbourne will get band 3 for Sylvia (which they will use on Vince, doubt they'd have done the deal to trade 20 to GWS unless they were pretty sure they'd get 22 for Sylvia, as they supposedly want Vince) because the AFL feel sorry for us both and want us to get better sooner and that this will be last year of FA compos being awarded.I've baked some humble pie to snack on if he gets band 2 or band 3.

Sylvia will get band 3 or 4, Dal Santo will get band 2-3. Buddy will get band 1. That is pretty much the end of it. The AFL won't want to see they value Dal the same as Buddy and similarly they won't want Dal to be valued the same as Sylvia. Betts will be band 3.
Only what I've read on here, but I believe it's been indicated to us that the worst compo we'll get for Dal leaving is band 3.
