North has turned their assistance package of three end of first round picks and #44 into:
Dylan Stephens, Zac Fisher, pick #17 and #18

Two players and two first round picks from three end of first round picks.

So they end up with 2 mediocre players and 2 middling pivks.
Yeah sure that's fantastic

This draft after about pick 10 must be junk. That end of first rounder next year won't be inside 25.
I think the view from recruiters is not that it is junk but that it is pretty even with the top 10-12 a standout. There are a lot of players in the 13-25 range with some elite attributes but not the 'full package'.

Some teams will try and trade later picks as high as they can and others will collect as many in that 10-25 range as possible.

How can they trade the pick when it's being reviewed in 2024?

From afl website:

The AFL has given the Kangaroos three first-round picks over two years to help build their draft hand.

This year's pick will come at the end of the first round, while next year's two picks will also be placed at the end of the first round. The 2024 picks are subject to review next year.

Been covered ad nauseum but they would only be reviewed if north kept the: e.g., they were made to trade them unless they sucked next year.

So they cant trade them both this year then suck again next year and then ask for more help?

We could trade it. AFL forced us to trade it.
