Looks like percentage is going to be important again this season. If we win tomorrow and Melbourne knock off Collingwood, the top six teams will all have four wins.

Brisbane and Freo sitting head and shoulders above the rest at the moment on 246% and 224% respectively, but the rest of the pack is pretty close together. Hopefully we can fill our boots against Gold Coast next week.

Melbourne getting absolutely torched by Collingwood.

What's changed then?
How did they manage to pick up some good players?

Started when they hired Stephen Symonds from Norwood who after getting Davey from the blues has turned her into one of the best midfielders in the league and can be argued the best pound for pound player in the league now and moving Chloe Molloy permanently up forward just changed the entire complexion of their team. Bonnici coming on like she has to add with Lambert and Davey in the middle has pushed them up this year, their tall defenders led by Livingstone hold up and they surround those stars with pacey role players.

Collingwood has not beaten anyone of note.

They haven't played any of the strong interstate teams.
North are a pretty solid side, Melbourne haven't been awful either.

They're clearly the best Vic side and they've got enough weapons to trouble us.

Brisbane v Collingwood moved to Melb because of one case of Covid in Brisbane - pies yet to leaveVictoria for the season
The mens season is gonna be ****ing terrible if the AFL makes such rash decisions on such short notice.
