Please Help!

I went to a site that requires adobe acrobat to open a file. I did not have acrobat downloaded at that time and chose to open it with wordpad but it comes up as symbols. Now I have downloaded Acrobat but it keeps automatically opening the file in wordpad and symbols come up still. Does anyone know how to make it open as acrobat?

Download the acrobat file.

Go to windows explorer, find the acrobat file, hold down shift and right click. Go to open with... choose program. Choose Acrobat Reader and tick always use this program.
