The argument seems to be that he took the GWS money to be a fringe player there versus being a top 22 player at the swans for lower money. Can't say I agree with that statement I think he would have been a fringe player with us this year as well. So he's taken a contract reportedly almost three times as much for a similar situation. Well I think you would have to be nuts to turn that down.

To be fair under the Swans leadership and structure he could have improved as much if not more than any of our kids coming through, the thing is his next contract might not be close to what he is on now at GWS he has gone a bit stale our kids will be very well sought after in years to come if they decide to leave as we are the envy of the comp, I think he would have been better off staying but those were big bucks for a kid you cant blame him..
Who knows where he could have been with us in 5yrs time.
