Williams annoys me more than any other referee. Once he blows his whistle it takes him an eternity to restart things. Seems to revel in the spotlight when the camera is on him and feels compelled to chat with everyone in the area at length before restarting play.

Thats why he gets these tournament gigs. You can't have a guy who just does his job properly, that doesn't mean anything, you need guys who like the spotlight regardless of their ability.

I get we need to encourage refs but they shouldn't be immune to critics.
