Season starts 1st April - April Fool's Day
Two trials:
versus North 18th March @ Thebarton at 11:00am ?????

The sanfl fixture is good. What I look for is sanfl games after the afl or as a curtain raiser to the afl, so we don’t have to hold back sanfl players in case there‘S a late out.
Like the afl, the SANFL has only scheduled the exact time and day of games to mid June. In that time there are 10 double ups (SANFL and afl games on the same weekend) and 7 of those fit the bill.
Only 3 times will we need to hold any SANFL players back until mid June.

Man, when was the last time we played Norwood at the parade and not under lights?!
I think 2015 when we lost by less than a goal, led the whole day too. Pretty sure Kane Mitchell copped some flack from a Norwood trainer at HT on TV too.

Had to lol the SANFL press release that highlighted Norwood playing a country game in their "heartland" region of Eyre Peninsula.
They've only had it gifted to them less than a decade ago. No one from the Legs would ever have set foot in the EP in the past 100 years.
Contrast with the 4 or so decades Port had it, pouring massive time, manpower and energy into it.
We were rewarded with numerous State league and VFL/VFL players including many legends of the game.
That's TRUE heartland.

This morning's press had a sob story about the poor Eagles not getting a home game until round 5. Port do not get a game at Alberton until round 5. To me a game at Adelaide Oval against the Crows is really played at a neutral venue.
