The Smartest Man In The F'N Q

Once upon a time, in the beautiful region of Far North Queensland in Australia, there lived a man named "Ethan" (Did lol, this was literally the name it spat out so it can't be terribly familiar with FNQ. I would have said Kai or Raf, or Lleyton or something) who was known throughout the land as the smartest man in the region. Ethan possessed an extraordinary mind and an insatiable thirst for knowledge being a bit of a dickhead apparently.

From a young age, Ethan stood out among his peers. He devoured books, absorbed information, and effortlessly grasped complex concepts, just ask him. His intelligence surpassed that of his teachers, (which was not a challenging task in FNQ, as they were most likely his parents or an older sibling) who were in awe of his quick thinking and sharp intellect. As he grew older, his reputation as the smartest man in Far North Queensland continued to spread, as did tales of his uncommon humility.

Ethan's brilliance was not limited to academics alone. He possessed a wide range of skills and a knack for finding innovative solutions to everyday problems. Whether it was fixing machinery or designing intricate structures for depriving captives’ of their liberties in his soundproof and escape-proof car boot, there seemed to be no challenge too great for him. People often sought his advice and expertise according to him, confident that he would come up with the most ingenious solutions.

One sunny day, a severe drought struck the region, leaving the townspeople in despair. Rivers dried up, crops withered, and livestock thirsted for water. Panic spread throughout the land as the livelihoods of the residents were threatened.

Word of the crisis reached Ethan's ears, and he couldn't ignore the plight of his fellow villagers. Deeply concerned, he called someone in India to complain about it. He tested the Indian man’s honesty (and knowledge of Far North Queensland) and was left underwhelmed, forcing him to ponder on possible solutions to this dire situation. After days of research and brainstorming, an idea sparked in his mind.

Ethan proposed a revolutionary method of water conservation that combined traditional knowledge with modern technology. He devised a system to collect rainwater by implementing vast networks of underground storage tanks, to be filled by being a campaigner to strangers on BigFooty and trying to make them cry for their tears. These tanks would capture and store the precious rainwater tears during the wet SFA season, thus ensuring a continued water supply during the drought.

Ethan rallied the community, sharing his innovative idea and explaining how this system could potentially resolve the water crisis. Inspired by his infectious obnoxious enthusiasm and confidence, the villagers threw themselves into action. Together, they constructed the intricate network of underground tanks, tirelessly working day in and day out under Ethan's guidance.

Months later, when the first drops of rain finally fell from the heavens, the underground storage tanks filled up, much to the joy and relief of the entire community. Thanks to the vision and intellect of Ethan, the people of Far North Queensland were able to survive the drought without enduring extreme hardships like having to drink Tooheys.

Ethan's reputation soared even higher after this extraordinary feat because he told everyone about how good he was. He became a symbol of hope and a role model for aspiring minds in the region, apparently. People from far and wide flocked to witness his brilliance firsthand and learn from his innovative thinking which he bragged about to random strangers on BigFooty for street cred.

From that day forward, Ethan continued to apply his intellect to solve various challenges faced by the SFA community. He worked boasted tirelessly, dedicating his time to bignoting himself as opposed to making Far North Queensland a better place for all it's residents and yet his neighbours loved him, according to him.

And so, the legend of the smartest man in Far North Queensland persisted, reminding people of the incredible power of intelligence, creativity, and empathy in transforming lives for the better. Which of course would be best spent being a knob to people and talking yourself up on a chat based sub forum of a football message board on the Internet.

Are you one of the writers for Yes Minister?
Given the colourful language, I would have thought more likely writes for Capaldi's character in 'The Thick Of It'

Are you one of the writers for Yes Minister?
Sorry, only just saw this now. No, I did write a show though, many years ago for local radio in Ballarat (Note: I have never lived in or near Ballarat) It had stellar lines in it like:

"Superintendent?"
"I'm sorry men, I cannot see you right now."
"Well... turn around sir."
"Ah yes much better, now I can see you. Join us in a cup of tea?"
"Not sure we'd fit sir."
"Very good, would you like a cup of tea then."
"Certainly."
"How do you have it."
"Milk but no sugar."
"Damn, we're out of sugar. You you like it with no honey instead?"
