Suck up

Oh wait it's to me. Well thank you boo xx

But all in all, it's not necessary. I enjoy this stuff and it gave me something to do during my downtime. Even when my not-downtime is doing similar s**t haha.
people are quick to criticise,
not enough recognise the work done by people behind the scenes,
just thought I'd balance the feedback for a job that you do for free :beercheers:

I hear Hate completely. I was quick to realise that this may impact how the website will look, and perhaps function. All the rest though - in terms of ladder updates and how often he chooses to update the site is not of any concern, naturally. And in terms of the fixture itself, it's just how it's labelled (and the byproduct being how it's recorded) that's ringing alarm bells.

We all acknowledged the complexities of the fixture under the current constraints. There's no harm in trying something a little askew; a little different and seeing how it goes. All that was needed was the club's support and we had that seemingly the entire way through as we looked through options.

You mean I'm not getting paid for this? Elton Johns Wig, pardon me...

I think our best move is to work together, findind a way that the ClarkeM approach to the fixture can be played while causing the least possibly upheaval.

Hate 's main concerns are 1) the addition to alphabetical "subsets" to specific round numbers, and to the play dates falling too late for inclusion is his manual updates of the database.

I would suggest that in the first place, the alphabetical subsets could persist on the visible fixture, but the letter could be removed from the recorded round number. Hence, Rd 14a would actually just be an additional match in Rd 14, per the records.
In terms of the late play dates for some games, could those stats simply be updated in future rounds? If necessary, could 14a actually be included as part of Rd15, instead of as part of Rd14?

If anyone is thinking expansion, two things. 1. Your expansion club could be the fastest accepted club per the constraints of the fixture with an odd number of teams. And 2. Your club could be the last ever expansion admitted to the Sweet FA. Just my thoughts on that one as we approach a new season...
Time to release the Kraken 🦑

My issue is that I would not want to deviate so much from what is presented as the official fixture (ie. the OP of this thread) for posterity's sake, so if we have to go with this idea of a fixture and sacrifice the previous conventions, separate rounds would be easier, in my view.

Makes sense to me.

Have adjusted OP, no letters present
