Pwned noms coming tomorrow although finding them will be difficult with the thread being so amamicable.
I was too nice, but I did threaten to make their CHF not happen, forced them to change from the named position.

Next game is my 150th so I'll be pulverising someone

I'm expecting the SFA equivalent of a Banzhammering.

New season, same ole' round 1. I bet we're just feigning the status quo to sucker punch to opposition when they least expect it.

Oh and I'm pleased to see the return of the Pwned Trophy despite the team mostly going the cuddle rather than bump which made finding noms difficult. But find them I did!

Kicking us off is TheInjuryFactory who compared the opposition to this monstrosity that should feature on wanted posters Australia-wide.

pantskyle shows his nice side with a call for a Qooty retirement fund to aid the leagues veterans.

Pants and Filthy weren't the only Wazza's having a spar as Tonga Bob brings to light spudmaster 's dearth of New Year's knowledge. Revenge for the tipping avatar, who can say  -

1707198981945.png

If you're thinking we were targeting anyone but the opposition for banter, well, you'd be correct. We were obviously saving it for matchday... any-who here's some quality from The Filth Wizard -

Nothing will keep Piggy Smalls eyes off the ball this season (although he better not have too many late nights in his newly built SFA pig pen) -

And that's me done. Let's get back on the winner's list this week Wazza's!

Morning Wazzas, trust you're well and even if you aren't I still trust.

Quick note to say that this week's sees Dinsdale play his 150th and as a result becomes the 15th person to earn Life Membership of the Coney Island Warriors. I've made no secret of the fact that I believe this to be one of the greatest accolades that someone can attain in the SFA, and I'm absolutely stoked that another Wazza receives this recognition.

I've written something about Dinsdale in the below link. It's somewhat cryptic, but then again so is Dinsdale and particularly his origin story as all good origin stories should be.

Get around him!!!!

Round Two - At Home vs the Bombers

63ee9879-bdb5-4376-8caa-af5a86d41099_text.gif

Hey Wazzas, we're back with the second weekly review of the season. Let's see what happened.

We were at home for the first time this season in round two as we hosted our neighbours from Baghdad. There was a bit going on, with the centrepiece being Dinsdale becoming the 15th person to get Life Membership of the Warriors. The Bombers are one team that we seem to match up well against, both on and off the field. It was the same old stuff during the week, albeit the PG version, so all in all it was a pretty convivial week. The only Rage we had was the misc videos pretty much all weekend.

And that led into game day. We got some half decent weather for a change, and you'd think the quality of qooty would instantly improve however we aren't used to it so shanked a bunch of kicks in the first half. Thankfully so did the Bombers, so we finished the first half ahead by a single point. We then got our sh*t together in the third quarter by kicking five goals to three, and then thought "that was easy, let's do that again" so we did it again and found ourselves 20 points to the good at the finals siren. Owen went the same way as the losing streak, which went the way of the dinosaurs.

The win saw us move up a couple of spots, and more importantly into the eight, with a match against one of the many 1-1 teams to come.

Before he became a dual Brownlow Medal winning bull midfielder, Nat Fyfe was a skinny flanker. So when I saw rookie Paracleet have a 20 disposals, 9 marks, 5 tackles & 3 goals in his second game, my thoughts immediately went to the floppy haired kid wearing the purple number 13. Hopefully it's the first of many Fyfesqe performances from the Michael Palin lookalike.

There were many other sterling performances on the day, including midfielders FootyGuy13 (26 disposals/4 marks/3 tackles/2 goals), Piggy Smalls (26 disposals/6 marks/2 tackles/1 goal), pantskyle (20 disposals/9 tackles), TheInjuryFactory (22 disposals/5 marks/1 goal) and oldmate (24 disposals/16 hitouts/4 tackles). The Filth Wizard kicked four goals while Stokey & Raveneyes (2 each) were the other multiple goalkickers, while the backline was well served by Purple7x08_24 (20 disposal/6 marks) Freofalcon (18 disposals/4 marks) & milestone man Dinsdale (18 disposals/4 marks/4 tackles).

For the second week in a row it was the pantskyle & The Filth Wizard show as they just slapped each other for much of their lives the week. But pants also gave us this:

I will never think of that city the same way again (sorry Ocha!!).

Have a great week Wazzas!!

Round 2 vs Bombers.

Despite missing out on much of the weeks celebrations the match thread featured an abundance of quality and pwnage (my home town bearing the brunt :p). As the saying goes winners are grinners and the rest can do what they please. Well, let's get grinning.

Raveneyes outs the opposition for acting like, well, themselves.

1707876286400.png

FootyGuy13 finds our Dear Leader to get us back into gear with a typically lucid and erudite speech to inspire the team. You can't argue with the result!

1707876462772.png

The milestone Wazza Dinsdale wields the fabled banzhammer which obviously had the Iraqis quaking in their sandals.

1707876674770.png

And if that's not enough, follows up with a prediction a Greek oracle would've been proud of.

1707876897356.png

Not much to add to the following, just Reginald Perrin and Samuel L being alphas.

1707877001624.png

zackah with the brilliant negotiation tactic of asking for the galaxy and getting the world instead (in this case a Wazza win).

1707877230144.png

Lastly The Filth Wizard balances the "stick" tactics of zackah with a very big hypothetical carrot.

1707877392234.png

I don't care what the sim says, it was the teams exploits in the thread that got the win. Let's get streaking.

Round Three - At Home vs The Swampies (Heritage Round)

d71a6ca6-38e1-4970-8a8d-3d1e6ea59be1_text.gif

Hey Wazzas, let's get this over with.

We remained at home in round three. It was Heritage Round you see, a bit earlier in the season than usual but it's kinda a heritage season for us so we commissioned TheInjuryFactory to whip up a brand new jumper to wear as we hosted the Sin Citizens. Speaking of early, oldmate woke up the Freds pretty much as soon as the curtain fell on round 2, a move that was not exactly universally lauded. We got the dad jokes during the week along with the usual supporting cast, not one but two ex-admins and a recently unretired bloke on his fourth club in as many seasons. It was as dry as a nun's nasty but at least 18 of did our darnedest.

And so to game day. A warm one greeted us, and so did the sim's hijinks. The visitors were given the first ten (10) scoring shots of the first quarter, and like a nude line up that isn't facing you they were all behinds. In fact the first goal scored was by newly-promoted ruckwazza toxic but, like some demented Freaky Friday malarkey, the shooting accuracy for each team got flipped turned upside down from that point. We kicked another 8 goals 16 behinds for the match while the 'Rats kicked another 13 goals and only 3 points to end up 21 point victors by the time the final siren sounded. What this means for our ladder position is that we return to the 9th place we held in round one.

In the guts was Piggy Smalls (20 disposals/4 marks/4 tackles/1 goal), Ocha905 (9 disposals/a massive 12 taclkes/1 goal), pantskyle (23 dipsosals/5 tackles), TheInjuryFactory (20 disposals/4 marks), toxic (18 disposals/9 hitouts/1 goal) & FootyGuy13 (18 disposals/3 marks). The forward pockets in zackah & Stokey kicked two goals each, however Stokey technically kicked three goals if you add the six behinds he also shanked. Third gamer Paracleet (21 disposals/7 marks) put up some good numbers again, while a special shout out goes to Mesc (17 disposals/7 marks) who kept Sin City's HOF full forward to two goals.

I thought Count Duckula was the name of a choc mint ice cream.
I am going to assume this a legitimate question and play straight: There was and is an American breakfast cereal called Count Chocula.

I am referring to this however. I am sure everyone saw it and remember the plots of individual episodes..

(You'd have to be between the ages of say 43 to 48 to be in the sweet spot)
