Like Trent Copeland before him he could force his way in by weight of wickets, by like Copeland and Butterworth (who never got a run) it'll be pace and penetration that is the big question. Sayers is slightly quicker than Butterworth though.
Unlike Copeland, Sayers has a lot of competition for quick bowling spots. Copeland got lucky in that there were was a bit of a lull in Australian quick stocks at the time before the emergence of quicks in the last 3-4 years.
