People think getting a fine for 'speeding' is harsh? Try copping a 180 dollar fine for not wearing a helmet while riding on a deserted footpath

Speed cameras are purely revenue raisers. Sure you might get snapped and pay the fine, but that's not going to stop you speeding the rest of the way and make the roads any safer.

It's the tax you can choose not to pay by not speeding. Though I do have a lot of sympathy who have to go through multiple speed cameras per day just to get to work. The number of speeding fines they would get would be disproportionate.

Speeding doesn't kill, bad drivers kill. It's far too easy to obtain a driving license with such little training.
