Cazaly’s is a great ground to watch live footy, I compare it to Nth Ballarat, Footscray or Manuka before the revamp.
Where is your ticket for?
"Grandstand uncovered"

So im thinking the bays just either side of the main grand stand.

Will see in a few days

The only place I had found tickets was through the St Kilda website.

Think I might be surrounded by Saints fans

Uncovered is also just behind the benches prat either end behind the goals.
What number does it start with and I’ll tell you where you are.

Don’t Stress as there is quite a few Crows supporters up there.

Stupid Kilda.
If there is a next time got to Cazaylys or AFL Cairns website as it's a thousand times easier.

Here's a map of seating for you, the opposite side of the Grandstand is a hill and the whole oval has a few rows of seats also.

Metricon (2 weeks time)
Its an amazing boutique ground.

I'd recommend sitting on the outer. The setup there is similar to what one might experience at Adelaide Oval in the Members area during a test match.

The facilities under the stands might be average. But there's an abundance of street food and the like in trailers parked around the grass area surrounding the stadium (particularly from about the southern goals to eastern wing) - I just hope you dont have the issue I had when the wi-fi was malfunctioning pre-game (Resulting in no eftpos)

And if you're not paying the extra for the corporate packages (the deck did look amazing though) there's a good bar in the north-west pocket (about bay 142/143). It's on the side of the stand so you could still watch from there. Most other drink outlets are out on the grassed area away from the stadium structure)

Note - If you do walk around the ground just to have a look, it can get a little cramped in the walkways on the broadcast side.

ps - I just remembered they had a music area out back pre-game. Might be a good place for a pre-match beer. IIRC this is at the southern end near gate 1.

In order of first visit:
- Hindmarsh Stadium/Coopers Stadium
- Football Park/AAMI Stadium (was underrated stadium and should have been kept at lower capacity as SANFL ground, RIP)
- Adelaide Oval (pre-redevelopment)
- Titanium Security Arena/Adelaide Arena (remember seeing Brodie Smith in the toilets there lol)
- Adelaide Oval (post-redevelopment)
- Carrara/Metricon Stadium
- MCG
- San Siro (seeing patrons all smoke in the stands at half time was a sight to behold)

I know it won't happen but would love to see a 65,000 seat indoor stadium to be built at Sandown Racecourse as it's been for sale for some time with a MonoRail built from Monash University up to and past the ground to Dandenong and with Eastlink less then 10 minutes away it can take people to the North and South of Melbourne.
Then you would offer Hawthorn and St.Kilda to be Co-Tennents of the ground than for the 1st 5 years of the ground existence you would approach Richmond, Essendon, and Collingwood to play 1 home game per year at $1 Million a game to entice them to play a game there and gather support for the new ground.
You would build the ground to MCG playing field size with retractable floor to be built so when the ground isn't used can use it for special events like Music and other sports which would Optus Stadium the 2nd best Stadium in Australia as atm its the best stadium in Australia as it proved its value with that great spectacle Dream Time game on Saturday night.
The cost factor well would be the killer as to build a state of the art stadium with all the latest Building and Technology you're looking at $1.5 Billion then with the Public Transport to be built you're looking at another let's say $300 Million that's including Mono Rail line and Stations.
Then with the surroundings, you turn it into open parkland with shops and an entertainment area outside the ground.
If this Stadium and Mono Rail line were to be built it would create jobs.
But this a pipe dream as it won't happen but a ground in the South East of Melbourne would bring people back to the football that was lost to the game and would allow fans that won't travel to the CBD of Melbourne to watch football a chance to see a live game plus would take pressure off the MCG and Marvel Stadiums.

Bay 5, Row B
The first place I even saw tickets available for the game other than through St Kilda was Tuesday this week.
I saw an opportunity earlier (Friday last week) and took it through St Kilda.
Where would the Crows enter the field?

This gets messy.
See the light grey building behind the orange seats, that’s the away team and umpires rooms.
You are in 5 which is between the two races, see between 3 and 4 home, 6 and 11 away this also has a walkway to get to 11, you’ll see when you get there. Row B is second row.
It’ll be a good view from where you are unless they play on the other wing.

Do you know where you’re staying?
I mean in town, North Cairns etc.

Went the Motel Nomad round the corner. (the ground looked quite a distance from the main areas of town, so knew we'd probably drive to the game, so I sucked it up for 1 night simply for the convenient parking)

My parents fly up Friday, I dont know where they're staying. (They're obsessed with accor as they can earn room night upgrades etc., so probably a mecure if there's one in town)
I fly up Saturday, go to the game Saturday
Then we're driving down to Home Hill (staying in Ayr) to see my grandma on Sunday
I fly back Monday from Townsville
Then my parents fly back Wednesday.

I love the Burdekin Region, fantastic.
Good idea getting close to the ground, from there it’s pretty close.
They do have a great bus service from town to the ground.
After the game if you want or able to head to either Gilligans, the woodshed or Rattle n Hum.

Accor or Pullman is near the casino or Mecure is cairns north but on the esplanade and is walkable to the city.

Enjoy mate and have fun, it can be an awesome experience up there.
