Funny thing is, that they won't make any noise once he leaves. Hopefully abby does though
Essendon will though - and when he stars for them next year (coz he will just for the revenge factor) we'll never hear the end of it.

Trump Tweet

" Jake is at my casino having a wonderful time. I don't like these bombers - Connors and Dodoro are nasty men - terrible."
Couldn't possibly be fake news :D

It is FAKE NEWS! It is FAKE NEWS! Trump doesn't have a casino in Vegas. It's only a hotel. And he would love Connors and Dodoro. The nastier the better. Sad.

(I did spit at the entrance to his hotel when I was in Vegas in January.)

Where is Jake staying? I have comped rooms at any Caesars casino in Vegas. Perhaps I could fly there and negotiate a deal with him personally.

I can introduce him to some of my amigos:

We're better off keeping him on a few levels now anyway. A) He pulls his finger out and plays for a big contract/we get compensated well if he leaves (Connors should have convinced him to do this at the start-AFL need to investigate why he didn't) or B) He keeps to his threat and doesn't play or sits it out in twos. We'd still get a late second round pick for him anyway (they won't risk going to the draft).

We have to hold firm here.

At the same time, we have to weigh those facts against A) Stringer potentially being a tossbag disruptive influence within the group and B) the inevitable media circus that will come every time he farts in the wrong direction. I have been firmly in the keep Jake and make him sing for his supper camp, but I can definitely see the attraction of team "cut out the cancer".

Plus we can tell all the media experts You were wrong, you didn't believe us when we said he would be kept if no deal was made to our satisfaction, so go forth and multiply.

Agree with that but I just can't see Jake under advice or not, being that big a pest coming out of contract.

Christ knows what'll happen this time next year. But the big dollars won't be there for him if he acts like a child. Even moron Connors would know that.

We've got more to gain taking the risk given the crap offers that are available right now IMO.

I am done now. Get him out. Obviously this bloke has never been told No in his life. His arrogance knows no bounds and this Essendon Media induced horseshit is just feeding his ego. Just remember the last bloke that thought he was too good for us and pissed off for fame and fortune snapped his leg in 76 places and became a fat hack and shadow of his former self. Karma is a bitch. Look in the mirror ego boy, the reason you are on the trade table is because of you. Nobody else. You. How you have become the victim in all this is perplexing.

Fair points and as I say, I certain agree with all current offers and permutations thereof being insufficient based on what Jake could produce. However, you keep saying "surely", and I'm just not sure anymore. I thought Jake's response would surely be to grow up, own the situation and work through it - instead he's thrown a strop. I thought surely his manager and family would tell him to pull his head in - instead they've burnt bridges with his current employer and marked him as toxic human refuse for any future employer. Who knows how self destructive this guy could become, and how much the blow back might affect the team?

I hope you're right, that we do hold him to his contract and that common sense prevails, but I'm not holding my breath on any of it.

This whole saga has a nasty smell, Essendon want to pay him around 650k but only want to part with crumbs, Jake and Conners earn more money but so does Abby, when Geelong come calling the press release her article and they back off, a couple of days later she tweets a pic of Jake in a Ess jumper and quiclkly takes it down again, a premature celebration perhaps, then the Ess media mafia go into action. HaHa maybe, maybe not, too far fetched,it couldn't happen or could it.

I blame this all on Connors. We all love Jake as a player but at let's be honest if he couldn't kick a footy then he'd struggle to hold down any sort of average job. He's clearly a few cans short of a six pack so to speak.

Connors should know that for all of the problems the Dogs and Stringer allegedly have, the dogs still know him best. He has friends and people that know his ego and staff that can somewhat handle him. Connors hasn't thought about his clients best wishes at all. Seriously how does he think Jake's going to go trying to impress another 45 blokes and plenty of other staff that don't know him? He's going to seriously struggle with that IMO.

Connors straight away should've tried to work this out and being firmer with Jake with the support of the Bulldogs. Who knows it might've set him straight. Instead he's insistent on aiding the progression of a complete degenerate and a dumb one at that.

If Jake goes the club should air exactly what's happened. Stuff them two. It'll make his bimbo ex Abby's little piece look like nothing.

No different to what Tim Watson, the Velvet Sledgehammer and that Browne clown have been pushing as well.

There's been a clear directive in the media to undersell Jake and force the Dogs to trade. Has to be looked into.

Stringer and a few of his bulldog mates have been giving a highly paid Dogs player a rough time for the better part of 12 months. It all came to a head mid year with one particular incident, where a certain player took time off. This was the final straw for Beveridge, if he had his way Stringer wouldn't be the only player leaving the club.
