Felt like as the game wore on we looked better but credit to Essendon they seriously brought the heat for 3 quarters.

Grundy was awful early on and comprehensively beaten by Draper and Goldstein but to his credit continued to work hard and be a Prescence.

We were murdered in the middle and relied on individual brilliance from Heeney and Gulden to keep us in it, defence was really loose conceding 101

Sorry to intrude your board but that was a seriously good performance by your mob. On a very humid climate, playing an extra game as well over Essendon and finishing the game strong as well. Plus you have players to come back as well, you guys are gonna get better too with your young mob as well. Also the umpiring was on our side too, so you had that going against you all night as well.

I think if even if we start 6-0, Parker and Adams would still be in the side to potentially improve the centre clearances. They will give them a shot at it.

But the transition from defence to an open forward was a wonderful sight, I think we kicked 10 goals slingshotting from defence.

Ah geez. We made it difficult for ourselves at times. Essendon being Essendon made it difficult against us.

But, we had a lot of great players and deserved to win.

We have the great ability to slice teams open on transition.

Gulden would be worth a $1m a year contract.

So many players played their role tonight; Heeney, Warner, Grundy, Hayward, Roberts.... But overall, a very even performance.

Good win. Very good!

Excellent 2nd half in particular, Heeney, Papley, Warner exceptional. McLean and Hayward very good too.
Felt like most had their moments.

Great team performance overall. Bit slow in the contest early but worked into it nicely. Making a good habit of kicking goals when challenged.

Wasn't his best but as I keep saying, he's a 21 year old key forward whos getting the opposition a best defender every week. We need to be patient with him. His best is still probably 4 years away.
