McVeigh out for soreness. Interesting. Hooker given another week to get ready, or not picked? He is listed as an EMG with Davis and Slattery.

Davey on the field. Reimers or Dyson to be sub.

Re: Gold Coast vs Essendon (14/04/2012)

Good line up!;-

Fletch Pears Hardingham
Hibberd Carlisle Dempsey
Stanton Hocking Heppell
Crameri Ryder Jetta
Davey Hurley Reimers

T.Bell Watson Zaka

Howlett Melksham Monfries
Dyson

Reimers & Davey good INS and they should kick 8 goals plus between them against the Gold Coast - or maybe Reimers will kick 8 on his own again!!

Reimers 10 goals!!

Re: Gold Coast vs Essendon (14/04/2012)

Why do Essendon keep picking blokes that are barely up to AFL standard, surely playing against Gold Coast would have been the ideal time to try some of the younger blokes. We already know what we're getting with the likes of Davey, Dyson and Reimers.

Where is: Winderlich, Ross and Del'Olio.

How about giving one of the kids a crack for 20min!

Reimers , Davey , Dyson... None of them are up to AFL standards so why not give a young bloke a chance.

Because this isn't the U/12's where you hand out games to players.

Reimers is filling a specific role in the team, he easily has the most runs on the board out of all the other options.

Reimers, davey and to a lesser degree dyson all have natural ability and on good days have played some great football. Consistency has always been the issue. In The past they have been gifted consecitive games due to Lack of depth. I've got no problem giving them another chance, surely being left in the twos for two weeks is the wake up call they need.

I think they're better served playing Carlisle forward and Hooker at CHB.

We can stretch GC's defence that way, Carlisle out of goal square and let Hurley roam.

than again I guess Paddy can go forward with Bell in the ruck and maybe hookers ankle needs another week.

Dyson plays his role, experienced and solid. Deserves to be picked after his form in the VFL from what I've heard.

Reimers and Davey auditioning for a forward role. Who will win it?

Looks like the team has been picked with a view to the upcoming games against Carlton and Collingwood.

McVeigh rested to play against Carlton and Collingwood.

Possibly Hooker to play a half for Bendigo.

Expect Fletcher to miss one of Round 4 and 5.

Logically should miss against Carlton - Think we have a better chance against Collingwood - But then again a win against Carlton is more highly values.

On a side-note - 6 listed players announced for Bendigo.

WE seem to have lots of injuries from a nearly injury free list.
