Seems corruption in the AFL and it's reserves dates as far back as 70 years ago

But in all seriousness it's an indication of how the game used to be back then; dead rubber and the grounds flooded? Let's go to the pub instead and just say we played a game.

It also happened in the SAAFA about 20 years ago. Miserable day and the teams colluded on the result. The SAAFA board found out real quick and hefty suspensions were dished out. You can read about in the SAAFA history book
