I've been watching Damon play with the Roosters over the past few seasons. While he has been moved to the defensive end on a few occasions, these were more of a stop-gap measure where he has had to fill a hole in the backlines either through injury or to plug the gaps. While he has always done a good job in defense it has always been as a forward that Damon has dominated games and with Norths increased backline depth it is hard to see Damon being used in defense at North this year.
It may interest you to know that Damon has been selected in the forward pocket for Norths opener against Norwood on Friday night which surprised me as I thought he was still a few eeks away with injury.

He was cleared to play earlier than expected after consulting with doctors.
