Toorak Toffs would like to announce the acquisition of Key Forward and BFFL superstar Travis Cloke. In what is one of the biggest trades of the current bFFL offseason the Toffs have once again boosted their forward line, although it was at the expense of key player Josh Kennedy who they regrettably had to offer in the deal which saw Cloke join the toffs. Toorak coach Jordie_tackles wished Kennedy all the best in his future endeavors, just not when he plays the Toffs.

The deal was Cloke for pick 31 and Josh Kennedy (Syd)

Toorak Toffs welcome young gun and up and coming forward Jack Gunston. We regrettably say goodbye to David Zaharakis.

Welcome to Toorak Mathew Scharenberg

Mathew is South Australian Utility who slid down the pecking order on draft day after being touted as a potential top 5 prospect Matt made it all the way to the Toffs first selection at 17. He comes to the club with injuries to his feet which is the main reason for him not being taken far early on draft day. Toorak coach Jordie_tackles is not however worried about this after researching the condition and suggesting that it will only be a small blip over a tremendous career which awaits Matt at the toffs.

Mathew played the majorty of his final year on the half back line, breaking lines and setting up play for both club and state, although he is capable and seen to be able to run through the midfield over the long term.

Welcome to Toorak Marcus Bontempelli

Marcus is a Vic Metro graduate, and tall midfielder often compared to Scott Pendlebury, due to his size and ability to find space within traffic. Marcus shot to prominence during his final year of TAC cup and Nationals where he was eventually touted as a top 10 pick leading into the draft. He is definitely considered to have more upside than many of the players selected around him although letting him slip to pick 17 should be considered to be a criminal offence by many opposition coaches.

James Podsiadley, he may not be the sexiest player, heck he isnt very sexy at all! but he is good, and will add some forward line goal scoring power and it is this depth which may be the difference considering it is likely that key forwards will miss games. The J Pod has moved clubs but i dont think this will affect his performance, he was underrated, nearly scoring 10 points per game last year, aswell as being a significant marking target and also racking up 10+ possies on average and closer to 15. He really should be starting in a top 8 team this year and maybe he will be only, but only if someone else is not fit at the Toffs.
