I've got Win32/Clspring Family

And I seem to get it every week or two despite not going to the sites that they say it is on.

I run the Virus Scanner - eTrust Vet Antivirus and it seems to go, but then a week later it is back.

I'm not sure what it does, but can someone PLEASE give me a hand of getting rid of this?

:(

they can take a damn long time to get rid of. First thing I'd suggest is to download Avast virus scanner, run it and get rid of all the infected files.

Then download hijackthis and post a log of the results here.

Then delete numerous entries from HJT.

Then run Kaspersky virus scanner online and see if anything comes up.

Okay Borgsta.

Am halfway through download Avast now.

Will post the reults for Hi jack this aswell.

Want to do this tonight depsite all of my new games.

Thats the logfile.

What to delete?

Yeah it usually hides itself in the temp folders. You have to delete all of them. Most important thing is to not reboot your PC. It will pretty much make what you have done useless. So if you must I recommend just leaving your PC on overnight or whatever. Im going to bed. I highly recommend these guys

http://www.techsupportforum.com/

Had a virus about a month back and they helped me out a fair bit. Sign up, post your problem and what you have done so far and just listen to their advice.

OK run HJT again and click on the following, then press fix.

C:\DOCUME~1\SAMRAD~1\MYDOCU~1\SMBOLS~1\iexplore.exe
C:\Documents and Settings\Sam Radler\Application Data\M?crosoft\??oolsv.exe
O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [Tair] "C:\DOCUME~1\SAMRAD~1\MYDOCU~1\SMBOLS~1\iexplore.exe" -vt yazb
O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [Qvscf] C:\Documents and Settings\Sam Radler\Application Data\M?crosoft\??oolsv.exe
O20 - Winlogon Notify: winmqx32 - winmqx32.dll (file missing)

Next you should locate and delete the following

C:\DOCUME~1\SAMRAD~1\MYDOCU~1\SMBOLS~1\iexplore.exe

C:\Documents and Settings\Sam Radler\Application Data\M?crosoft\??oolsv.exe
winmqx32.dll (possibly in \Windows or \windows\system32)

You might have to use the kill on reboot function within HJT or download the program Killbox.

Then reboot.

Im going to bed. Good luck with it all mate. As I said before I do highly recommend that site aswell, helped me a fair bit.

Borgsta has you on the right track.

Once you're rid of it - setup a limited user account, and only surf the innyweb under that account.

No access to registry = 99.9999999999% of malware can do no harm, as it can't install itself.

Seriously, that is *the most* effective anti-malware step you can take. The diffusion of 0-day exploits is now a thriving business, and running anti-virus/personal firewall/rubbing a rabbits foot will do precisely **** all against most 0-day 'sploits. Limiting your privileges while you surf will.

There are some things that you can only get rid of if you boot into safe mode and delete. Follow what Borgsta said, then if you still have problems, get into safe mode, run HJT, find the entries and delete the problem files.

downloaded ewido for malware.

Removed 26 files with 91 traces.

Am going to reboot in safe mode after spybot finishes.

Thanks Jenny...
