"trying to find the actual data to support this statement. i don’t think it actually exists. what does seem to exist is anecdote, suspicion, and a handful of cases. the important statistic though is what is the percent prevalance. this is key to understanding whether testing amateurs has any real shot at making a difference beyond the occasional headline and forum shaming.

it’s interesting that this new area of focus mirrors statements from UKAD stating that doping is problematic in the amateur ranks but denying any problem at the elite level of sport.
