I'm in Melbourne for the week so went to a couple of Op Shops yesterday, found a couple of Swans guernseys.

2006 (yes 2006) Premiers guernsey. Anyone explain this to me? It's not like the caps they make to give the players immediately after the siren, these aren't normally made available straight away are they?

I believe that is called 'phantom' merchandise. Look it up, the NFL stuff is the best

Here's a bunch I found, but I've always wondered what they did. As far as I can tell it usually goes to charities for foreign use (i.e. Africa etc.)

I've never understood that. So many PI guernseys floating about regional and amateur clubs or international footy teams. Does my head in.

While I was over in the States recently I was lucky enough to make it to the NBA All Star game in New York. Probably the first and last time ill ever do that so I had to get my hands on a piece of memorabillia from the game. The game worn guernseys that got auctioned of went for well above my honest wage but I did manage to pick up this pretty unique item. Klay Thompsons locker room chair that was used over the weekend.

Hi gang. Thought I'd share some of the gear I've picked up recently.
I'll start with the retails.



The Russell Athletic guernsey's were $9.99 and the '96 team puma preseason was a bargain at $5.


Not sure if the Welsh top is a retail or PI. Name isn't sublaminated like the Carey one that sold on eBay recently.

He went on to play with Collingwood and Sth Melbourne. Think he had a part in The Club too.
The bloke I bought it off found it in a pile of scrap metal at a yard sale. Christ knows how it ended up there.
