How has Tom fared over the preseason, there's been suggestion that he's going to overtake Pittonet as your 1st ruck this year

It appears we are set on taking Pittonet and De Koning into every game. Silvagni being out for the year means no back up pinch hitting ruck and no third tall forward. Pitto is no forward, so we will likely see TDK only getting about a third of the time in the ruck and the rest up forward, or we will be wasting a bench spot if Pitto is sitting on the pine half the time.

It's going to come down to horses for courses though. Pitto does the draft horse work and TDK comes in when we need a dynamic presence. So opposition type, game style, weather ... all play a part.

If TDK is coming in and taking on the second ruck from the opposition though, that seems like a strong win to me.
