I haven't read through the thread because, we'll, I can't be farked.
Not sure if anyone has mentioned it, but I watch Bad Santa every year at Christmas without fail. Absolute cracker!
As for series, Seinfeld, Veep and Schitts Creek I hold in similar esteem.
Edit : Ricky Gervais has to be the funniest campaigner on the planet.

No love for Filthy, Rich & Catflap, rickets?

Thought that was a decent show, too. I think too many people measured it against The Young Ones which was understandable but bound to set unfair expectations. Tough order to reach those lofty heights. Reckon it stands up okay if not viewed through that lens.

Anyway, lots of good stuff mentioned. A couple that haven't....

TV: Strangers With Candy

Movie: Clerks

Not sure if it qualifies as a comedy but I have a long-held soft spot for Fast Times At Ridgemont High. Even just for the Sean Penn moments (Spicoli!) alone.

Also recently saw the excellent and (I thought) very funny 2017 movie, I Don't Feel at Home in This World Anymore. Enjoyed it a lot. Elijah Wood fantastic.

P.S. Yes, Minister.
A special like for the Clerks reference. Hilarious.

Also I'd like to plug the first 2 or 3 seasons of Arrested Development for some truly inspiring comedy moments.
