Either: a) his involvement in drug cheating or b) his complete negligence/incompetence in relation to Dank, unknown player injections etc.

We'll know soon enough which one applies and if I was a betting man my money would be on a)

I could also mention his complete incompetence as an actual coach bit I'll leave that for one if the numerous other threads on the topic.
As a betting man you would lose a lot of money then

If that is your reason then you are a very misguided individual and i hope you aren't holding your breath waiting for your "justice"

Got any proof of that? Anyone to back any of this up?

I'll just be labelled as biased but I thought that from the beginning the media were willing to rubbish the club for simple purpose of headlines. As the days went on it all got to much for me. I snapped last night as anyone could probably tell in my first post. I feel better about things now. I can't really say why but I stand by a lot I said in my first post. Unless this clears very soon I fear the damage could prove too massive. We can't rely on all opposition fans but all us Essendon people have to keep our voice strong and stick with the club we love. No matter what. Don't think I've ever looked forward to a NAB cup game as much as I am right now.

Well they wanna sell papers (for as long as they possibly can). Essendon are in a catch 22 regarding their legal options if it turns out they're innocent of all wrong doings. If they go after the journo's, they'll never write another EFC article again.

So be it.

Thankfully there are Essendon loving journalists that would go against that piece of logic - Emma Quayle for 1.

I think most FAIR opposition supporters think the rules are too harsh and inflexible. If, as I suspect, they were duped by Dank and he did give them banned peptides, it seems ridiculous they should be suspended en mass!
Fines yes, maybe draft pick penalties at the most. The difficulty is proving that in fact he did dupe them by convincing them that his operation was completely above board. Most would be sceptical although I just think that some people just sell themselves so well, nobody bothers to check their story (hence the penalties).
If they did knowingly cheat the system I think all followers would expect them to throw the book at the bombers.
I know I have muttered my story of knowing this for a year ad nauseum, but I really feel decimating a side for a lack of due diligence is way over the top. The guy is a sociopath. He even got that guy to present AOD-9604 to the board under the guise of another WADA "non prohibited" drug, when it clearly is prohibited.

Just my 2 cents worth.

So, it's a win anyway it goes?

Pretty much, I despise Caro and her muckraking but if she's bashing someone else's club it's still entertaining to watch.

You would think that either her or Barrett have uncovered something else of substance though to justify another special episode. Last week was supposed to be a one off.

Proof of what? My post is pretty clear.
Proof of his involvement in drug cheating and his complete incompetence regarding unknown injections. According to Dank, you know, the guy who was actually there and doing it, Hirdy knew full well about it.

Any proof? At all?

ManWithNoNam e would have you believe this is excellent preseason preparation.

he could be like all those bomberblitz guys saying this will bond them together and they will be a force to be reckoned with.

Just like how Collingwood bonded over Travis Cloke's contract saga
Or how Melbourne have over the tanking saga
or how St Kilda did after the school girl saga
or dare I say it, Carlton after the salary cap saga (how many preseason cups did we win?)

Even painted the wrong way it's still an individual thing and not a systematic process to involve many.
Understand that part but if media want to paint a bad picture, it really doesn't take much.

Carlton Players Buying Unknown Supplements From Overseas!
Blues Shock Supplement Scandal!
AFL Players Caught in Internet Supplement Scandal!

....see what I mean? I should add in now way that I believe that Carlton players have not done anything wrong just showing how a story can be misconstrued. Imagine the media, talkback and BF meltdown if that was on the front/back page a week and a half ago?

If that is your reason then you are a very misguided individual and i hope you aren't holding your breath waiting for your "justice"

Either willingly or subconsciously, Essendon supporters became caught up in the desire of influential coterie and past players to undermine Knights, and facts went out the window. The situation descended into farce when Hird emerged from the shadows - the coach recording an interview for The Footy Show to appeal for his job - and it became a case of GTFO now.

It's close to the ultimate irony that Essendon finds itself in this predicament as a direct result, with the major players facing their own battle for survival. And without Knights having had to tip a bucket of manure on the club as he was entitled to do.

And yet not one bit of that entitles you to one thing from my club, although you seem to think they owe you something.

Good luck with that...

Maybe that's why I'm not a betting man

But we'll see.

Care to share any of your thoughts on golden boy?
while his coaching in a game I don't think is that flash (elimination final against Carlton). I think that he is building a good team/list and game plan that could take us to somewhere in the top 6.

You mean the supplement program that Hird was totally across, with assistance from Doc Reid. The program that didn't contravene any doping laws?

You are aware there is an investigation underway right? I think you guys at bomber land call it storm in a tea cup...

Anyway, IF Hird is found guilty of any involvement in injecting banned substances into his players then by definition he is a drug cheat right? Notice I said if. It's still an unknown. Unless of course you have definitive proof that he had no involvement whatsoever?

Now if he's found not to have any involvement the fact that he's overseen the appointment of a shoddy character like Dank and the fact that he didn't know what was being injected into Essendon players would imply that he's been negligent/incompetent. In the real world anyway, not sure how they view these minor details out Tulla way.

Either way, it's one or the other. I know you'll try and twist my words around and question my allegiances etc but I'll leave it at that and hope I have helped you understand what I was trying to say in my original post.

As for his coaching capabilities, well the results speak for themselves. What other proof do you need??

It's not just Richmond fans....all clubs are represented in this shark frenzy.

People may be enjoying this now, but what if Essendon are given their marching orders for a year or 2? No doubt some opposition fans will be giddy with excitement but I guess for most others it would hit home that there's no way in hell the players were privy to any wrong doings. I hate Essendon, I hate when we lose to them and I hate most of their posters on here....the feeling is no doubt mutual but isn't this the definition of competition?

The definition of competition is competing fairly to see who wins.

Whatever happens to Essendon there will be a reason for it.
